Was beautiful, various, many colors, good british humor and british references.

But, even if it wasn't from the point of view of the director, I found that was visually disorganized, not really symetric. I didn't know what to watch many times. If you don't have the TV and the exact schedule of what is goin on, you dunno what is the fuck in the damn arena. Many people went from nowhere to anywhere and did many different stuff. Compare to the chinese in 2008, it was a total mess for me this year.

Ps : Please Mr Boyle, come back to your first movies like Shallow Grave or Trainspotting, this is better!!!

Well us Brits understood it, ( it was a celebration of British history from the Industrial Revolution until the present day, encorporating things that made us great like the Industrial Revolution, The National Health and the Inventor of the internet, without who we would not be talking about this now) maybe the TV channel you watched it on should have done their homework and let you in on what was going on, as for the Chinese, they loved it so much they have commissioned a British theatre director to go to China and make a stage play out of it.

I'm British and even I did'nt know what was going on some of the time. Thought James Bond collecting the

Queen and having her arrive jumping from a helicopter was a good touch though. (i know it was'nt realy her)

Interesting and entertaining I thought.

I liked the better than Beijing which was so precise and structured.

I thought it was impressive,

like you I live in the north (Wigan), and I totally understood the theme, the chimneys and forging scenes and the Brunel references could have been written for my part of the UK.

I really wouldn't expect the Brits to be too biased, that is usually the opposite of the British mentality, we usually like to put ourselves down rather then praise ourselves, if it was crap i would have said so, i really was not expecting something so good, there was no way i would have stayed up until 1AM in the morning after 4 hours if it wasn't good just because it was British, Exe just say if you are jealous m8 just because we beat you to the bid, it's ok we understand. :harhar:

Like I said in a previous post it made me feel Proud to be British and was a Brilliant display of our proud history...

At last we have something to be proud of instead of moaning about the state of our country...
