They will still have to monitor him closely and watch his only kidney to make sure it fully recovers from the trauma but we are getting there. 3 weeks ago tomorrow at around 11:01 is when my life changed forever. But this is what I have realized: Ok here goes: 3 weeks ago tomorrow at around 11, my life changed. My family changed. We all became closer, we all realized how precious we really are to have each other when many dont. Its been a long time since I have seen over 3 big rooms full of people, not just people, loving family members, not just close family but Police family also. Since that day I dont look at things the same. I love each and every one of you, rather we say it everyday or not, please know it. Thank you God for what u have done and gave us OUR brother back for a lot longer. U know we need him still. His family needs him. So tomorrow, 12 teams will walk out onto a softball field and play ball for a totally different reason than ever before...Play ball for my brother! Thank you to everyone who is participating and everyone for the prayers. We still need em, he has a long rough road ahead but with God and family, WE GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Cspears for everything you have done about getting the word out on this tournament, organizing it and everything you have done. Shes handled alot of stuff for us along with the police chief so we could spend our time with my brother. Spears you know you are more than a friend, your my sister and I love you. Yes in bama it happened, shes my best friend, sista, cousin... For the one time I played match maker, well I did a great job Now, lets get ready to play some ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well we have more news, we had the softball tournament today, had a blast and raised a good bit of money. Froze our rearends off but at the end of an over 12 hour tournament, Choke and Poke(yes that was the name) lol won and we celebrated my brother. They were like, dont tell him our name and I laughed and said if u knew my brother, lol, he would love it....lol. Everything was donated so the funds go straight to my brother. Everyone is under the impression that since he was injured in the line of duty, he gets full everything, no he doesnt. He will get workmans comp and thats only 2/3 of his normal pay if that much. Police officers dont get paid enough as it is. Thats nothing for a family of 5 and one grandchild he helps take care of. So this is way beyond appreciated. And the second great news, he is moving his leg..up and down and side to side and even bending it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried when I saw the video that was sent to me of him doing this. I cant express how precious a leg moving is.........GOD IS SO GREAT!!!!!!!!! I know I am one of the last people that would say something like that but with witnessing this miracle, I now KNOW without a doubt the man upstairs is beyond a wonderful person and I have vowed I am gonna learn more about this man. Least I can do for saving my brothers life. Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts. This is a great family I have here and Spears--love you sista!! It will go to a very good man and his family. I am so glad I could help you know I am here to help in anyway possible I know that $3000 will not be enough to live on forever but it will buy a few groceries.
