I gave it five minutes but, when you get to a certain age, time is a valuable commodity and, if someone hasn't fully introduced what they're about to present in that time, they lose my interest. I have to say I was greatly put off by the firearms-related introduction that, perhaps, gives a clue as the flavour of what is to follow. Its appeal is unlikely to extend beyond the borders of the USA, I suspect. There was some common ground with the practising Christian expressed but I don't think I have missed anything theological by skipping this. (34 years in law enforcement and never shot a soul, btw...)

You shouldn't judge a video that is 37 minutes long by watching it for 5 minutes. You can read this link in five minutes. http://www.gleaminge...dsheepdogs.html

On a side note, that you walked away from the 5 minutes feeling the need to mention never having to shoot someone in your career definitely shows you missed the point of the video. I wish we could all make it 34 years without shooting a soul. Last year 123 law enforcement officers died in the United States. I'm sure some of those are the guys that bragged that they haven't drawn their sidearm in their 20 years of service. I only wish they practiced drawing more often.

Thanks for showing this! i remember that guy jumping in to save that lady, while i was watching this go down on tv i was shouting why cant someone do something, with all those people sitting there watching just just yards away. thank god for him and others.

too many people would rather just watch or even turn away. brings me back when i was 17 and was riding bikes with a friend to the bike path when we came to a car crashed that happened just a few mins before we got there, people where just driving by just looking and then driving away. we jumped off went to the car and helped her, taking our towels and shirts we had with use to stop the bleeding, yelling for people to in cars to call 911(before cell phones) which no one did, had to ride the a bank close by the call 911, which we where told later by the cops they only had one 911 call, which was us! i glad i got to help someone!

What was the relevance of the sequence at the start of the video showing discharge of an assault rifle?

Nutnfancy started his channel with in depth table top reviews of knives and firearms. He not only did table tops but he actually went out in the field and tested the equipment. His primary viewership are people that are into firearms and knives since that is what his channel began with. That is why he often intro's into videos with previous videos of him conducting his field testing.

16 years in and in Canada. I think cultural differences shouldn't get in the way of the core message. Some dude did a video with a bit of gun play at the start. Regardless of country, we all know guys who do a bit of "dick swinging". I think the key message was the point. Let's hope we all retire without having to shoot. The point at the end of the day....we all go home and we are thankful for those that look out for us and our families while we sleep. Take care my brothers. This job is hard enough without turning on one another.  My 2 cents.
