The anthem at the "madhouse on madison"  with Wayne Messmer and now Jim Cornelison is the best in all sports in my opinion! Cant really "feel" it coming across the TV. but being there is something you wont ever forget.

In the Flyers days of supremacy and entertainment value as The Broad Street Bullies it was Kate Smith singing God Bless America. She brought the house down when she appeared live in the finals.

At the time I was a season ticket holder, I know I shed a few tears as she sang rest assured I was not alone.

I thought the game was over when the fat lady sings?

It was, the Flyers won 2-0 but had to play because fans had bought tickets.

Wow! 6-5 and in OT again!

Certainly not what I had expected. My Bruins in 6 is looking doubtful.

Chicago is apparently not as beat to dead as I thought.

So different having a 6-5 score fest after all the previous defensive games.

Great hockey, very entertaining even for those of us whose horse is not in the hunt.

This series is what I call "Original Six" hockey and I pick the Hawks, but like Shamu said I believe it's going to go the full 7 games and that makes for a great playoff series and at the same time a scary one.No  "BLOW OUTS HERE".Go Hawks Go.

Indeed, another great game! How the hell did it go from 2 goals in a game to 11 goals?! Wow. I think it seven games, too! Too bad someone has to lose a series like this one - great hockey!

Wow! Both Bergeron and Toews possibly out. Seems Toews will again play and was kept out as a precaution by his coach. Bergeron was sent to the hospital, have not heard his fate.

Teams, and fans, will be hurt by the loss of either one.

The whole playoffs they been beating up on Toews, and that one cheap hit from Boychuk to the head should be a suspension.

but what really matters is.....BLACKHAWKS WIN!!!!!!

If Toews steps on the ice I hope they pound him some more. It's playoff hockey and the hits keep coming.

Besides, IMHO, Bostons main hope lies in pounding the Blackhawks into submission................and the refs allowing it to happen.

You are not alone. They were the closest thing I had to a "home" team since the Flyers were a playoff no show.

@@JohnnyDos As Johnny has previously noted the final is Original Six hockey.

What might also be worth noting it may be a long time for another Original Six Stanly Cup Final unless all the stars align just right.

In the new alignment the only Original Six team in the West will be Chicago. The remaining 5 will be in the East. The odds for another Original Six final have been greatly diminished by realignment.

Chicago will have to win the west and then one of the other Original Six will have to come out of the East.

Oh well, the better team won. Kudo's to the Blackhawks, they certainly earned it.

A great Cup final. I thought sure we were going to a game 7 but Chicago just would not roll over and die.

Great effort by both teams.
