When you start the game and click internet game it connects you right to Gamespy. I had read something where it stated that all you would need is some type of patch to change that. I do not know too m

we've got to get this running again.

 

I tried to play cod4 freezetag and got my ass handed to me.  I could swear half of them are hacking ;)

I think what WiZiD is trying to do here to get Crysis(wars) on to Origin. At least that is what I get from it. The problem is that Crysis, Crysis Wars and Crysis 2, depends on the multiserver list that is going to end in 40+ days. Origin doesn't have the network WiZiD to carry the players and the servers. Even when you get the Maximum Edition in your library on Origin, it will fail as it depends on GameSpy/IGN network.

 

People are thinking to make a patch for Hamachi or other VPN services, but you won't be able to see any servers listed. Or only by LAN only.

 

The funny thing is, MWLL is running cracked for a long time now. Heck, do you remember something?  Look how they set this up:

Server A:
 
Host the server with sv_lanonly 1
 
Server B (can be the same as server 1, but must be Windows):
 
Optional: edit launch.bat and set password
Forward port 29900, 29901, 29920 to the server's local IP, if necessary
 
Start gs_login_server using launch.bat
 
Client C:
Edit C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file and append
 
127.0.0.1 gpcm.gamespy.com
127.0.0.1 gpsp.gamespy.com
127.0.0.1 gamestats.gamespy.com
 
Replace 127.0.0.1  with the public IP of Server B of course
Launch server and go into Internet Tab to log into Gamespy (with any username and password "pass")
 
Connect to Server A with connect command

A month to go and no appointments on Friday, so,.. I can setup Offroad tomorrow on the Mixed. And join tonight, Thursday.

I found the simular stuff in c:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++ 127.0.0.1 gpcm.gamespy.com 127.0.0.1 gpsp.gamespy.com 127.0.0.1 gamestats.gamespy.com Is this where the file needs to be edited?

Is this where the file needs to be edited?

 

that was probably just a cache of the same file you were editing.

 

Most of these files you want to look at are in:  c:\windows/system32/drivers/etc

 

..."hosts" in particular ...

Come on people if germancrysis can do why cant we? Their patch makes it so you can just join their server. I do not need to play any other server but ours.....

.... oh, I remember that. It was a bother when it got foggy out. The smoke signals were considerably less effective.

Yeah, I don't get that price either.  With several iterations of the COD franchise after WaW, you'd think the price would be bargain basement by now.  I suppose that stands as a testament to the popularity of that particular version.

 

Maybe it'll be on sale some day.  Payback can wait.  And it's a bitch, btw.

Oh... my shit is too slow to play. And I can care less about upgrading even if I can afford it which I cant. hahaha I just don't care about that shit anymore.

I don't know what to do and not sure about the EX mod. Can we host our HC maps in there, I doubt it. 

As you saw by the email, I tried to contact Marvicks, but no answer from him. He needs to adjust the servers or

 

we have to get a test system from someone at home. Not sure if I can host that.
