Alright before I get too far into this.  I AINT ASKING FOR KEYCODES douches.

Ok for whatever reason now, my tower is no longer storing my key codes for COD4.  I enter it in, then go and try to connect to a server, and I get the error message, invalid key code, goto blah blah blah and re-enter it.  When I do for whatever reason I cant enter it properly.  My keyboard moves the cursour arround.

 Any ideas?

Me the GREATEST!

Quit the game and reenter it before doing anything else. The game will sometimes do that.

Could try manually adding it in here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Activision\Call of Duty 4 : codkey

I am assuming that I would just use a regular text editor (notepad or something similar) to edit the file and then save it.  @@Sammy, yea I tried that quite a few times.

You would need to use regedit, you can access the program by searching for it on your start menu search bar.

Hmm, I know duc is in fact right and I know 100% from experience that it will fix the problem BUT because duc said it, I don't think it will work anymore, it might just end up deleting your Windows folder lol
