So i updated to Windows 10, updated my video cards drivers and everything. So when i play multiplayer some maps i get 35-90 fps, other maps i drop down to 1 fps, is really laggy,  my screen flickers on and off and the mouse is really hard to control. My ping is steady at 86. Its not my video card because i can play single player fine and i also play the Witcher 3. It only happens in Call of Duty World at War multiplayer. I even uninstalled my hard copy of the game and bought a new copy on steam thinking my disc instal was the problem.

I have in my computer

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 FTW edition x2 sli

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor

SABERTOOTH 990FX/GEN3 R2.0 Rev 1.xx board

32gb RAM, Corsair Vengence

Anyone know how i can possibly fix this issue?

My son updated to 10 as well and had similar issues with some of his games.  He is also running Nvidia.  What we found is that for some reason, 10 changed his driver settings to the windows built in graphics driver.  What I had him do is completely uninstall existing Nvidia and re-install and then verify what display driver is being used.  Not sure if it just Nvidia cause I have a Radeon card and did not have any issues.  He was much better after that.

And you downloaded the latest driver? If so try stripping it and verify you have the latest first. Sounds 100% driver related to me.

There is a known issue with Win10 and the Win8 NVIDIA drivers.  When I did my Win10 upgrade yesterday, I was at 1024x768 with the Generic Windows Display Driver after the install was complete.  Simple matter of going to the GeForce driver page (http://www.geforce.com/drivers) and getting the Win10 version of the driver.  Clean install, and done.  No other major issues.

I would turn off you specular map setting in game and see if that changes anything.

The specular map setting can eliminate some issues where the GPU suddenly seems to encounter a tar pit (i.e., massive lag) and starts spitting out weird trapezoids and shit.  However, turning it off has a seriously negative effect on overall graphical wonderfulness.  I'd sooner sit out a map than play them all with specular map off.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's that SLI.  Pull one card and see if COD doesn't behave.

I have to agree if not one card maybe the other and you sure don't need both of those cards.
