Question is, how the hell are you supposed to contact them if you are not getting the email for the link required. You will need to follow a similar protocol to if someone had phished your account. I have now managed to find a place on the site to give all this info, jeez they aren't helpful are they? Trouble is you cannot install CODMW2 without Steam, what a rip off!! I have also contacted BT, to see if I can access my old email to get the access code sent to that address, i know the address still sorks as I emailed it and no bounce back, trouble is i cannot access it at the moment, its over 2 years since I used it, on Sky now! Sorry you're having problems with them. I wouldn't call it a rip off however. You can still try recovering the account without the email by providing Steam support with your details - If you can give information such as the account used to purchase the game it can act as proof of ownership. You said you changed your E-Mail address, wouldn't they have sent the E-Mail to your old address then? if you had registered with Steam when you were using this old E-Mail address then that's all Steam will know? I know, but I can find no option in the Help area to inform them of this, even though I have updated my email contact etc. The only reason I left it so long was that, apart from the first installation of COD4MW2, I never use steam, so now I am reinstalling on a new PC I have this problem. I have managed to get a dialogue with Steam, they unlocked the account, reset my email, but it wouldn't let me log in, they reset again, got me to change my passwrod, still nothing, they then reset trhe account again, nothing, they have just rest my password and sent me one of theirs to login and...yes you've guessed it, still cannot log in! How difficult can it be to sort out the account? But I cannot see why this should be such an issue, surelly as they have already acknowledge my account cahnges, verified the new account address, and that I am an existing customer who simply wants to install a previously installed game on a new PC, this should be straight forward. Yes they reset for my new email address, I did everything they asked, the resets followed each time but have never worked, I still cannot login to the account so unable to install MW2. I just cannot understand why this is being such an issue, also rediculous that a game cannot be installed without using Steam! This isn't the case with something such as COD4 where you can source the files elsewhere and use the game key from Steam. Generally though it's better to install through Steam in my opinion. So go to the 'Help' (that's ironical isn't it).... again, comes back with all sorts of bullshit, reboot you router (how fucking unusual, why would this be an issue when I am online talking to you, you fuckwits!, and changes to make to exe file, which are bollocks as the exe file is not as they state, and trying to change the target by adding location 1 etc also does not work! I have messaged them back, basically telling them what they can do with their account, what a total fucked up shite load of bollocks! Fuck me I am so fucking angry now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Taking my copy of MW2 out tonight to ceremonially smash it to pieces as it is of no use to me or anyone else! Thanks for fuck all Steam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
