It gets to where it's "expanding files" and then freezes at some point. I even tried taking the SSD out of my new rig and hooking it up to my old rig, then copy and pasted Windows 7 from a thumb drive to the SSD and reinstalling into new rig. No luck I tried a few things I read in some forums like removing one stick of ram, re-configuring the SATA cables and installing from thumb drive. I'm almost ready to pay a professional to figure it out cuz I've had it! Any advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Peace and love Awards

PS: Some new bios settings like boot order for usb drives and sata type ide / achi may need to be adjusted in the bios . also most new boards reserve the last one or 2 sata spots for the new m2 ssd drives...aka one generic example would be .....m2 ssd drive installed ...sata ports 5 and 6 are disabled... Most of the time but not all of the time these sata ports could be a different color or set aside from the rest to designate them Edited February 14, 2016 by Slackernet Awards

You would have to install the ssd in the old rig clone to it and then move the cloned ssd to the new rig Then you can boot to the new cloned ssd hopefully all the new drivers install on boot up keep your fingers crossed ..after all it is broken Windows ;-) that would be the best you could do wihtout doing a complete install of windows, it tons of updates, and all of the software you have Edited February 14, 2016 by Slackernet Awards

I was able to get my machine to swallow Windows 7 by removing one stick of RAM. Oddly, the first stick removal did not work at all. I switched sticks of RAM and tried it again with the opposite stick in the same socket, and bingo. Looking into system profile after re-installing the other stick of RAM, I have the full 16gigs. YAY! Thanks again ppls Awards
