Nah. I dont have a particular problem with white trash. Just the ones that support.... well... I wont say. :sofa:

Otherwise I might get in trouble.

You can say it. Obama or Hillary. I agree Sammy. :)

Independence from whom? The EU? Something the UK freely joined and could leave at any time? Now America... that was real independence. We had to fight long and hard for it costing many lives.  Like many former British colonies around the world had to fight for it as well. The UK took a vote and said bye bye. Slap in the face to call this 'independence day'.

Not everyone joined it freely Sammy just like not everyone wants out of it.

I would think someone from Texas would have a very different view of 'independence' as well.

Independence day means the chance to choose your own future. Not the future wished by the ruling elite, or the ruling financial manipulators. The future you might wish to be. Hurray! And cheers to the Britain we remember! God save the Queen!

I'm buying a few pounds, betting the sterling will go up, the empire still rules the financial world, like it or not.

As always, there are good things and there are bad things for every president. Yes that includes Obama... if people look at the information itself instead of what others tell them. Also if people think on their own what is important and not let others tell them what is important. Also without commentary or 'analysis'. Get the facts... from reliable sources or the source itself... and come to your own conclusions. A lot of people say "Obama is the best/worst" because they are told he is by someone else. If you have a person that on his own cant come up with a list of good things he did.... even if its small things... then that person is suspect.

No, it is not, and you really should study the history of the EU before making a judgment on its metamorphosis from an economic community to a supranational entity that imposes its undemocratic will on those within its borders.

Imagine a NAFTA becoming a North American Union, with its HQ in Mexico City and a Supreme Court in Ottawa.  Its legislature, in Puerto Rico, would impose laws applicable to American, Canadian and Mexican citizens too.  All citizens of the NAU would have a right to enter, live and work in the USA without restriction.  In the simplest of terms, this resembles the current EU.

I was too young to vote in the 1975 referendum that took the UK into the EEC.

As for "free to leave at any time", I suggest you refer to the Treaty of Lisbon...  The fact that we remain years away from true independence should convey how "free" we are to extract ourselves.

Seems to me, the only ones panicking over this event are the globalists. The same buffoons that insist we be one world order, religion, language & economy. Stick in the eye for that line of thinking, we're not all the same, we never will be, and quit trying to make this world a bland mass ruled by a Super UN. That's just boring.

Perhaps you didnt read today that a whole lot of people with influence, in and out of government in the rest of the EU nations, want to get the UK out quick. Especially France. The sooner the UK is out the better it is for them. Especially in terms of the big money. And money talks. I dont think 'the people' truly understand the can of worms they opened. They hardly ever do. People that vote based mostly on anger tend to make poor decisions. Seen it before. Maybe now we are seeing it again.

Unless I am mistaken, its the Scottish and Northern Irish that wanted to stay in. People can read into that what they want.

This vote may put an end to the United Kingdom. The news mentioned Scotland may hold another referendum to believe the UK.. And Ireland may unit to leave as well. Independence for everyone.

I guess others miss the point and are not asking themselves why Trump is so bad that Clinton of all people is winning. Saying all Hillary voters are idiots may make people feel better. But it tends to keep them from performing some crucial self examination.

A huge thing about the last Scottish referendum is that they wrote into their referendum act that they couldn't ask for another one for a minimum of 10 years later, unless the Queen, UK PM and Leader of the House of Lords agree. Don't think that will happen somehow.
