No overheating...  I run MSI Afterburner and turn the fan speed up to 100% and I run cool.  Processor is liquid cooled, so no overheating there.    I blow the dust out of my computer every other week to keep it clean...    So no dust in the machine at all.

The RAM was recently changed to some used RAM...  so I have a feeling that it's the culprit...  I just got 2 new jobs (THANK GOD!!) But it will be a LONG while before I can afford RAM...  I'm so far behind on my bills, it will take me close to a year to get caught back up

it's usually the last change you made before the issue started... definately sounds like that 'used ram' is to blame

seeing later posts that now indicate you used 2 different types of RAM in there... big no no.

I tried using my kid's RAM which is brand new, 16GB (2 x 8GB) and it still did it...

sounds like you need to do some hardware stability testing of the cpu gpu hard drive and ram to find out where you actual issue is. There is some free software out there so don't get discouraged if the first one you try wants money to use their program. here is a decent article to look over with links to software. Also even a small change in temp (not necessarily overheating) can cause this. Simple things like dried up thermal compound between the cpu and the cooler can do it.it's good practice for gamers to change this thermal compound out  every 18 to 24 months depending on how much you use the machine

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-benchmarking-tools-for-testing-your-cpu/

let us know if any of the test results seem off or not

Note:  also do a good visual check on the motherboard. All boards have lots of capacitors to make things run. As boards age these can swell up and actually start leaking . So a good close inspection (magnifier may be needed) and just look for visual defects

i didn't watch all of this video but it will give you an idea what to look for and what they look like

almost every problem ive ever had was because of video drivers or sound drivers.id wipe them out with a cleaner program and start fresh.swap the ram around to different spots also.check fo a loose connection in case ..btw did you change any motherboard drivers recently or play with power options in or out of bios? -sorry ill read previous posts

All the advice above is good, but don't rush it work logically and do things one step at a time, you didn't say what the result was of trying the modules singly in slot A2, I'm sure your mix of memory is not good running 2 different voltages  even if not the problem, I run on only 8gb and have no problems with gaming, try the memory tester I've used that myself and the quick check is useful.

Well I had someone look at my computer today... told me that everything is on par.  Guy works at a reputable computer repair place in my area.  The "chop" happened again... it is 100% my internet!!!

Trying to get it figured out ASAP because as much as I'm paying, it's unacceptable to be having this issue!!

Ok folks...  little bit of an update...

So today, I called Time Warner Cable after my brother told me about their new "Spectrum Package" for internet...  I WAS getting 30Mbps/5Mbps speeds and paying $34.99/month.  With this new Spectrum Package, I'm now getting 100Mbps/10Mbps speeds for $64.99/month!!!   So triple+ on the speeds for just under double the price!!

NOW... I played with these new speeds... and STILL got the issue!!! :wallbash: :wallbash:

So I looked deeper into my modem and wireless router... it seems I'm having issues there.  I looked into my modems logs and see "No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out - Loss of Sync".... so, I have a tech coming from Wednesday to see WTF is going in!!!! :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Well... another thing checked off the list... it's NOT my router!  I direct connected to my modem and still got the issue.  So it HAS to be the lines inside my house or from the pole to the house!

Tech comes Wednesday... can't come soon enough!!!

Hey Kap,

I looked under my SYSTEMINFO under my cmd... I see BIOS Version: American Megatrends Inc. 2013, 11/6/2013

Definitely looks like my bios is out of date!!!  I've never done an upgrade on a bios before... are they fairly easy without messing anything up??

Caution  bios updaters  this isn't a click click operation for persons who haven't  updated  firmware

first you have to know what REVISION of your motherboard ........its printed on MB Rev x.XX  for reason that manufactors use same MB model name with different chip vendors

lets say you got X99 Rev1.00 MB ,  there also  X99 Rev2   you flashed  a Rev 2.00 bios on your Rev 1.00 MB  after system reboots  are getting  nothing no screen

for firmware has change I/O addresses  leaving hardware useless

Notice  motherboard makers don't tell you this cause they want to sell more hardware

I'm sad to report that the BIOS Update did NOT fix the issue....   it HAS to be the internet!  So... again, we will see what happens on Wednesday!

Thanks again for the help KaptCrunch

I'm now running with a 100Mbps Down and 10Mbps up speed....

Like I said before... Time Warner Cable Tech is coming Wednesday.. have a feeling it's bad lines from the pole to the house or inside the house

You're right, that message indicates a broadband problem either in the actual connection , hardware or settings, something is restricting data flow somewhere, we'll see what he says.
