I used 15  1/4 five gallon buckets. It took my Brother In-law and I 13 hours. At 63 I’m getting a little too old for this lol.

I hope you didn't do it in the sun. The coal tar emulsion dries too fast so it doesn't go far. How long is your driveway. If it is like your garden it is a quarter mile long! lol Mine is only 100' and have it done for $80.

The driveway is 198 feet by 11. The upper parking area is 66 by 45. The side of the garage is 11 by 30 the back of the garage  and foyer is 30 by 30.
These are approximate measurements. I was a little more careful when I estimated the coverage I figured just less than 16 buckets, I bought 17 and used 15.25 buckets.
I’ve hired it out 4 times but previously at a cost of 1200-1600 I’d save a few bucks.
The product clams 250-400 sq ft coverage. I used a 300 sq ft coverage when I did the math as my driveway is older and quite porous hence the reason I purchased 17 buckets, 1 more than my math calculations.

Hey it worked out.
