Hey clan.  so I'm moving from MAC to PC with Loaders help. Big shout out to him for helping me for well over 2 hours last night. He suggested that I need a 300W or more power supply and a PCI e video card that's not 2.0(am I right @loaderXI?)

Thoughts?

SnakeNeck has a Dell Optiplex SFF (Small Form Factor) so the power supply would need to fit in there.

And he needs a PCI 1.0 low profile video card recommendation

Hi Everyone, my dealings with Dell computers in the past is that most of their boards are proprietary and use proprietary power supplies. Not sure if this has changed you might want to triple check before hooking anything to it. I could be wrong.

This is what he is working with Dell_OptiPlex_9010_spec_sheet.pdf and knowing Dell yes everything has to come from them so I do not know if or what it can be upgraded to or with...Any of you geeks or Dell experts could chime in here with some advice

Power supply and video card are the most needed if possible

I had a HP small form factor many years ago, there was an option at the time from them to buy one of their own PSU's for that case that was an extra 40/60w, the price just was not worth it 😐
