Just curious if anyone knows what background programs can be closed out or disabled on start up that way my craptop isn't drinking all my ram?thinking that's my problem with the fps and ping issues..I have windows 10 or 11 I'm not sure which..

Have not used it in years but back when doing tourneys we would use Gamebooster to dedicate our pc to gaming...It shuts down everything non-essential to your game...You could also go in to game mode on your pc and give a exception or toggle off "gaming mode"

For me, opening COD without opening steam already helped a ton. I also use a laptop and have issues sometimes with RAM.

If you got COD through steam, it might open steam automatically when you open COD through the normal desk shortcut. For my laptop that definitely didn't help. Totty explained how to circumvent that not too long ago in another topic:

And another thing I notice, if my hard drive is filling up, my laptop also slows down. Which of course means I have to delete some stuff.

Bamm  use a external USB HDD

As to memory does your laptop support dual channel  RAM  or has Ram 2 slots also if your ram is different sizes on 2 slot MB put the bigger one the first slat  0 or A how ever marked

This is built in to Windows 11. Go to settings/gaming and turn on game mode. You can set graphics to high performance for each game.

so while looking at my settings i noticed i have the AMD adrinaline software for best gaming experience...im going to try starting my game through it,however i may have be in game as a level 1 not sure but ima try it

 

Update: seemed to work good I'll continue to play though the adrenaline feature my laptop has..thanks so far for all yalle help
