That’s one on our list to visit. We try and go over every two years to our house in Thessaloniki and then hit a few islands when there. Such a great place to ask someone to spend the rest of there life with you. Only thing I find wrong with Greece is the severe weight gain from all the great foods there

Congratulation's. Where in Greece did you go to ?

Extremely sorry to hear this. Great guy and loved playing with him for years. Another great one that will be missed

Been smoking meats for a few years now. Yours looks great. When I do my Tri Tips I give them the final sear in a cast iron pan with butter and rosemary. Works great. Also I generally smoke 3 to 4 at a time. The first night is the sliced Tri tip and then I take the others and dice them up and a little extra seasoning and onions and make soft tacos with it. The family loves those tacos and the smoked flavor comes through perfect
  5. Was hoping to make it, but looks like possible knee surgery will stop me from making it. But I am planning on making it to one of these sometime, they always look like a great time

I started this system 10 years ago or around that. At that time it would be a stand alone system that used the internet just to keep updates and allow access from anywhere. But if the internet went down I still had control through my own house system to control it. That’s all gone now.

I loved having it all available at the touch of my phone. Had it set up far enough to where I could sit in my backyard either on the deck ore by the fire pit and control all my lighting out there along with my stereo system that I have wired to two sets of speakers. Inside it’s always nice to be able to turn lights off in other rooms when the wife or kids forget to with out having to get up. I was working on tying the system into my house alarm system so that if the alarm went off all the lights would come on. I figured that would be good for either a fire alarm or if it’s set off from burglary, but that’s in a holding pattern now till I figure out what way to go with it

Years ago I started adding home automation to my house, for lighting I wen with the Insteon lighting control system. It worked perfect for years, we could travel and I could program my house for random lighting that made it appear that we were home by never having a sequence that didn’t look programmed. I had scenes programmed for entertaining that set all the interior and exterior lighting up that gave a nice ambiance. Well Thursday my hub controller went off line but still showed active but still leaving me with no control over my lights. I spent time during the weekend going through every aspect of what the problem could be with no resolve of the issue. last night it finally came out. Insteon has disappeared from the market and shut down all there servers and controls leaving all of us that used there equipment high and dry and no way to use our investment in equipment. It wasn’t cheap even though I did the whole install my self. It’s a eye opener when you really think of it. We add companies web based and cloud based systems to our lives with no guarantee that they will be around tomorrow. I hate how everything has gone to company owned and controlled systems that we have to depend on them operating all the time to use what we have already purchased and installed. This also goes for a lot of the apps and programs we use that we use to be able to buy but now have to have a subscription to use. Not real sure we are heading in a good direction with our technology.

    No Thanks
  12. I had the pleasure of sitting back and talking with him and BB king when they toured together. BB king was pretty quiet but Stevie Ray was just like anyone of your friends and was great to BS with. Just a regular person that could play a mean guitar

That looks great. I’m just happy being able to tie my shoes.

Do you realize how much more it costs to drive that extra distance from corner to corner with these gas prices. Sheesh.
