I imagine that this has not been done from your computer as your external IP doesn't appear in the list...

    Try googling Canada.

What I just read about deaths of driving high in the US was a mix of weed and opioids.

But then you take it from where it's coming from (the media) and do you really believe it?

It's the same way that 5G is causing coranavirus right?.. there's plenty of evidence of that, not that we believe the evidence? but there is some!.. cause my friend shared it on Facebook and his sister in laws best friend is a doctor and posted a TikTok and they posted that masks cause cancer and Bill Gates is wanting to put Facebook tracking in everyone.

I do not believe anything that is posted online.

There has never been anything posted online or in the news about anyone getting into an accident/over dosing or death as a result from weed.

I am almost positive all those who are against weed would do anything to make that public.

I don't know which Google you use but your comment intrigued me.. so I googled it and yep surely enough 1000's of hits about people dying when impaired because they were high from weed...

  4. Looking for advice on a new gaming chair or generally desk chair. Mine is a cheap one that is now falling to bits.

I'm looking on upgrading from my usual budget as I spend lots of time on this chair, especially now I am working from home. Certainly happy to spend a few hundred, not thousands though!

Do any of you have proper comfy, ergonomic chairs? any suggestions

Yes 8 of us have asked for something to be changed, over 10 if you include those that liked those posts. You aren't listening because you and possibly others behind the scenes want the guns a certain way. That isn't democracy. I haven't seen one person come on and say the smr update since Friday is a good thing.

Only coming in to defend Sammy here as honestly reading some of what has been said I think it is a bit over the top. Sammy has looked after, extended, improved and invested many hours (i'm sure many, many hours) into the mod and it really is down to him in that role to use his best judgement to decide all sort of things, features to add/remove, changes to make and values to set. We trust and empower him to do that, we generally have always in some way influenced decisions or helped with changes. It is down to him to ultimately decide on the best actions to take.

We want to work with Sammy in helping him understand what works well and perhaps what doesn't by providing constructive feedback. I do not think challenging or questioning necessarily every decision is the way to go, certainly it can lead to 'tweaks' that have more of an impact than expected.

You talk of 'democracy'.. I do not believe this is a democracy - Sammy was not 'elected'. Simply he volunteered as many of us do in this community. We generally work on a 'volunteer' and 'empower' model if anything here. Like Sammy many of us take on areas of responsibility and do what we feel is best. That is not to say that this is a dictatorship (as it obviously isn't), but ultimately someone has to make a decision on what changes are made and I believe in this case that is Sammy.

Keep the feedback coming, keep it constructive, keep in mind that this is a game.

  6. If we are talking specifically about COD4 then I did some data analysis a while back, the player base is effectively static. We only see a couple of 'new' players a day and some days no new players.

You are generally playing with the same pool of people in different combinations and this has been the case for a fair while. I did work out the player drop-off rate at some point but cannot find it, needless to say the pool is leaking and it is not being replenished.

As I said before exactly the same issues for me on Chrome, takes minutes to log in sometimes.

This doesn't sound 'exactly' the same in any way.

Simply what has happened is an application has been disabled but a file missed from being updated. The website is trying to load code that is no longer there (hence the template errors). Rugger will make the change shortly to resolve it. This issue is server-side and not client-side.

  8. I am aware of similar issues in the past, and vaguely recall when signatures had problems which was (I thought) resolved. I guess I am at a loss as without being able to reproduce it I can do nothing easily.. reproducing it means log verbosity can be changed and errors captured. And without an error I can't really go to IPS with a bug/issue.

The component that IPS uses for the WYSIWYG editor is the same in the forums as PMs so that makes sense whatever the issue is affects all.

By permissions I was more implying that perhaps it is something that only effects registered users due to differing configuration, that is why it would be useful to get an understanding of how many people this effects.

    A tablet

Also as an aside, when I was investigating this (got out my old tablet!) I did change what blocks display on mobile/tablet on the homepage to clean it down and make it more usable. Generally the mobile/tablet view should be allot more condensed and not the full picture - both for speed and usability. If I have removed anything that you believe should display then please shout.

  10. I have looked at this and cannot see what's going wrong sorry, trying the scenarios mentioned works for me. That means it could be permissions related or something compatibility wise. Do you know of anyone else who has had the issue where we could try and make a correlation?

    A tablet

Ah.. I have no idea about compatibility with a tablet and have never tested, although in theory the site is 'responsive' I do not believe it is mobile-first. A couple of things I can look at now but don't have high hopes.

I use google chrome. I have tried firefox same thing. lags the system down, forever to scroll, forever to type certain things and I am a fast typer. my system gets cleaned weekly

So no change in performance recently? Certainly the issue we fixed was affecting all users (different levels/times etc. as it was related to a third party service).

However 'forever to type' sounds very much like a client side issue, although this platform does has some 'live' functionality for notifications and features like the chatbox once it is loaded it is loaded. Lagging an entire 'system' is a hard thing for a website to do.

'Cleaning' your system weekly will certainly result in worse performance for an image heavy site such as this.

as an experiment ........? okay, why then?what was the purpose? because I have never seen betty's or marty or last stand etc....ever removed.....so what was the experiment? and the last time I played earlier, it was still off......guess I'll check....

If you want vanilla gameplay then our servers aren't really the place to be, they are all modded in some way or another. As for experimentation.. if we never changed anything then nothing would change. That would be boring. Sounds like you have got your knickers in a twist that it affected something you disagreed with lol

Takes me 3 minutes to sign in on chrome, site loads fast, then a flash and reloads, press sign in then it takes about a minute for keyboard to come up, then a flash and you wait again, then sign in routine starts again, finally get in default loads and no problems.

That sounds very client-side, I would try clearing your cache/cookies etc. Also 'minute for keyboard to come up'.. are you on a mobile device there?
