Has anyone ever tried to make a full building like this?  Thoughts on how it would play out?

If you take the time to make, definitely save it as a prefab, as destructibles tend to be a pain in the ass to make.

I've been working at it.  Found the hard limits pretty fast.  I had to rebuild using much larger pieces.  I think I could add 2 maybe 3 buildings in a realistic map.

Hopefully with the new mod on COD4x we can increase the limits to open up things to map creators

Epic stuff. Destroy the section of the building and kill/freeze anyone in that part of the building... this is what happens if the rooftop or a wall falls on you :D

Hi there.

Maybe and just as a simple suggestion, you could link the destroyable builds to Bomb emplacements A and B (just 2 builds where the Bomb are located in SD) 

That will do most realistic and great for players some class of real destroy zones.

Also, taking a close look to the point, create some expolosions with animated views of those destroyable builds, lets say is a bridge, like in the map mp_bridge_2011 from Icey, that will add some immersive plays to the game.

 

Just as suggestion.
