Save you profies and reinstall the game. Even that's not a sure bet. Awards

I had trouble with nvidia drivers causing this many multiple times, and the only fix was re-installing my vid drivers. Give it a try, it's much easier than a reinstall of the game and always cleared the similar problem up for me. Awards

Users with RealTek onboard sound cards and Windows® Vista will need to use Microsoft Audio Drivers 6.0, which can be found at Microsoft Corporation and/or COD4 Windows Vista Audio Drivers Fix. Users with Sigmatel® onboard sound cards need to install all Windows® Vista updates, and the latest Sigmatel drivers from Dell.com.If you are running the game from a secondary partition, download the latest BIOS updates from your motherboard manufacturer in addition to following the above instructions. Hey all.I've been in touch with Activions problem center.Suprisingly good.Anyways, to your realeif. If changing the file to .bak or uninstalling the Audiotek drivers didn't work (which it didn't on mine.)Theres one more that they said.Go to Start then Control Panel Double click on the Sound Tool Click on the Recording tab Right click and select "View Disabled Devices" Enable the Stereo Mix These fixes came from the cod4/blackops forums as to the iwmp.exe error

It was getting so bad as soon as I hit the Join Game button, the game would crash. No updates, programs or anything have been added except more custom maps from XI, so I'm sure it's a mod issue conflicting with the normal files. What I did to fix it without reloading the game or anything, is start the game and tell it to Start New Server playing a non modded map. I let it finish the round, exited the game and no more iw3mp.exe error. Give it a try-nothing to lose
