So the question is... Short of a Bullet in the brain whats the best LEGAL pain killer YOU Idiots would recomend. Normally I do not feel pain hell I worked with a busted shoulder for 2 months (thought I had strained it lol) no problem. But this is driving me mad..... Awards

It is not good. I was actually relieved my dentist recommended taking my last troublesome tooth out rather than repeat the root canal torture. I'm surprised he didn't give you advice about analgesics. Over the counter, without a prescription, your choices are limited. Rather than taking a layman's advice, it is always better to speak to a pharmacist. There may be some to avoid e.g. aspirin, as that could make any bleeding worse. Likewise, especially if you take anything else routinely, it'd be better to talk to someone qualified who'd be able to avert any adverse reactions caused by two drugs meeting inside your system. Hope the last fragments of nerve die off quickly and you're soon out of pain...ouch! Awards

I went back after four days and he wrote a prescription for some antibiotics. I don't know if you have NHS dentists in your neck of the woods but down here they are rare creatures so I am treated by a private dentist. I braced myself at the pharmacy for the charge but it worked out 70p cheaper than an NHS prescription. I wondered how I would spend the balance to treat myself! Then I went back two weeks later and found out that there is also a charge to be paid for the dentist using a biro... Hope the treatment doesn't cost you a fortune! Awards
