I had a similar problem with my old Graphic card I took it out checked all compontens and there was for some strange reason a fried capacitor thats why it gave no picture. But your problem could also be some problem with the motherboard.  thats the 2 things I bet on im not sure cuz I can not check it my self but I can allot of hardware cuz I built a few computers for my self and some of my friends ><

Well it sounds like the power supply has died, ,( and yes you will see some lights and fans come on but not booting)

Can hear if it's booting up or not ?

Has there been any signs before this happened ?

Is there any beeps when you start it ?

The fans sound as though they arent actually fully on.. ya know when your PC starts up and they goto 100% for a bit then drop.. well that aint happening.

No signs afaik of.. this isnt the computer i usually use.. and the users are kinda senile and fail with computers so dont know what happend lol...

No Beeps :/

I agree, might be the PSU.

Try yours on it :)

To bad you can't see the bios posting or hear beeps like gpu issues/memory. For symptoms like this is more likely for 60/70% the powersupply. The only thing you can do is to reset the motherboard by 'cmos clear' pins and see if he responds, but that would be a waste of time for doing so(as he runs stable first).

But nah... haven't had that in my life and done some pretty computer work. Other thing is that I have here a keyboard laying, once you hook it up, you can smell the PSU burning and byebye :)
