I remember when my dad brought home our first color tv.  I think there were only two shows in color Wonderful World of Disney, and Bonanza, Sunday night the house was full, everyone wanted to see color tv, everything else was black and white.  I also remeber watching football with my dad, black and white I would always ask my dad what team he liked the ones in the white or the ones in the dark uniforum.  That TV was huge.  Dude wish I had that television, think it would be worth anything?

FU Toothpick, damn smart ass young punks nowadays, lol (probably should put that in there).

They think they have it bad if they have to set on their ass and work on the computer for 8 hours. We worked our balls off and nobody bitched or complained, it was just something you did.

They forgot My Mother the Car, with Dick Van Dyke or Adams Family. I remember most of the shows. Life was a lot simpler back then. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. We only got two channels. Then finally three. We didn't have color until like 1970. Sadesky you were lucky. At times we had rabbit ears and if you put tin foil on them they worked better.

You really had simpler times, but you really had to fucking work to make a living. Every generation is getting lazier and lazier and the world is making them that way. Nobody knows what it was like to bust your balls for 12 or more hours a day so you could feed your family. I just quit doing that last year. No wonder I am in my condition now. I was born in 1958 and yes Johnny they still make Cracker Jacks and we have a store that you can get Sugar Daddy's, and Candy Cigerttes all kinds of nostalgic candies.

Thanks Power, that brings back some good memories. I still record a few them off our satellite with 500 channels you don't watch and a 52" giant fucking COLOR tv with a stereo surround sound system. I need it, I don't see or hear as good as I used to. Maybe that is why they make these things.

Yup I remember them all...Better time for sure...I remember the tin foil (aluminum foil) as we used to call it, on the rabbit ears...When we got our first outside antenna it was mounted on a pole and it was my job to go out and turn it until dad said stop so we could get the best reception...SmileSmile

Some of those shows got sold to foreign stations like the BBC so we got to see them later, in the mid-Sixties.

Yes, black and white only for me too.  I remember when one of my school friends told us his Dad had bought a colour TV!

Wow! That was something special - he was a rich builder who could afford it!  We all wanted to go round to his house to see it.

Sure, there's more in the number of available channels and shows made but a large percentage of drama/ comedy/ entertainment is mindless shit these days...
