In all honesty, i started using a tube about 3 weeks ago. I told Pinglo i was gonna try to beat his tube stats for the month of June. Never used one before that. And after the end of the month, ill use one alot less... not saying im not gonna use it at all, cause it is fun, i dont care who ya are. It will all blow over soon enough. I figure for the month of July, ill piss everyone off with rockets!!!! After that, its C4 bitches!!!! And give me back my exploding crossbows!!! Is this that big of a deal for anyone? I'm much more interested when a player can't get into a map because he or she has settings that won't let them in or someone uses a perk and bug shows up on a particular map with a particular mod that just didn't work which wasn't tested yet. Didnt it come from hopping and thats what everyone hated? I dont care about the tubes, StankyCrotch can use em as much as he wants, and Ping can BLOW me (again) I play on the FT1 and 2 and the only thing I hate is the spawning with a set of full shorts feeling, so maybe thats just another game-type, who knows. To me, the point of XI..... is having fun and gaming with friends - not getting angry that someone "less skilled" than you, gets a kill or two on you. Yes, fun. People play against each other with guns & both generally have fun in the interaction, win or lose. When a person uses a tube, there's no fun interaction on both parts. The person with the tube ploops their tube in the general vicinity & the other person(s) immediately die. There was no chance for fun for the other person. One or two people doing this changes the whole flow of a server. And it isn't just one or two kills because there are those who will suicide & refill on tubes to do it again... all map. If you had a server with nothing but tubers, there would be no action, because they would all be sitting waiting for someone else to come by to ploop on. The people who want to have tubes in EVERY server are saying 'don't take my fun away from me which consists of taking the fun away from other people.' People get in fights with guns in a server, & from time to time think 'that was a good fight'.. 'that was fun', win or lose..I do. People get tubed don't think, man that was a good fight, man that was fun. The only person had fun was the person spamming the tube. A sniper takes me down on the run, I usually think 'good shot', because he actually had to hit me with that bullet... a tube in my general vicinity takes me down on the run...I'm not thinking good shot. It doesn't require making a server without any explosives or kill streaks It doesn't require taking tubes away from everyone in every or any other server. Just make ONE server without tubes, or tubes toned down. It's a relatively simple, quick & easy fix. Don't know why all the controversy. It will just provide a fair opportunity for a sizeable portion of people that would like to play in a server like that. It gets pretty bad when a bunch of people on the other team use them. I understand its "play the way you want to", "its how i play", etc etc... and im not going to criticize for that. im just saying tubes imo are an unfair advantage like timmah said. if you hit anywhere near the person, their dead.... but like i said, i dont criticize people about them, ill use them if its the only class i have... the only thing i get mad about is when people used the explosive damage perk (one of the most useless perks, it only affects a little of your kit) it is extremely o.p. but yea i wouldnt mind a server with tubes turned down or gone... but tubes arent gonna stop me from playing on our servers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
