Also, another player told me they get iw3 whenever they try to join a server, and the only way they can get in is thru xfire. Any help would be great. (crazier?) This morning I had ahellofatime even getting to the desktop. It seems random but wonder if certain maps would cause it ? Depending on your audio, you can update the realtek hd audio drivers Some have changed a file type to a different file type (someone else can tell that one, i don't remember which file) IF on vista 32 bit, simply plug in a microphone, even USB mic has worked. (only way to solve this for Mercy's pc) uninstall and reinstall an updated punkbuster. Disable XFire in game for cod4 (if you have it running that is, I kept crashing out, but got no error message at times, and XFire was culprit for that particular crash) I'm sure there are many more workarounds, but workaround is all there is. Any help would be great. if all your drivers are updated and your not runnin hot then its the mods.play non modded does it still happen? btw did you build you pc /do you use a sound card or onboard .make sure you have the correct and current sound drivers.incorrect realtek drivers can be the problem if you have onboard -many people get the sound loop crash....
