i would keep the new one just like the beta is set now as no one likes to play the new chicago one as it stays empty alot....just with the fixes would work out best..just what i know from what everyone says on server they like beta where its set at now...not much changing really needs done to it...

 

Well those are two different things and the mod being a later build doesnt necessarily translate into the old one inherently being better. Only that the server doesnt get much traffic. Maybe the location really bothers people and I wonder if the solution is to just have two NY servers to take that issue out of equation. Or maybe there just arent enough players to support two servers when one of them is 31. Pehaps two 24-player severs with one HC and one SC.

 

well the old chicago server was the more pop one at the time it was always full then the ny server got the same mod and with the redirect at multiple times both server had bout 20 on each server but when the beta got changed people quit the ny and stayed on the chicago then the beta changd people went there more as chicago changed to what people didnt like only reason i mentiond both needs to be the same...when one was well liked and on both server they both got alot of traffic when one different only one stayd populated just what i have seen in all of the changes that was made to the mod.. i think if both servers are same well liked mod with different map rotations i think u will see more traffic on both like last time b4 the newer changes

but it doesnt matter to me whether i play on chicago or ny server as my newest video card gives me pretty close to the same normal ping below 60

More punctuation Cobra pleeeeeaaase! So hard to read mate :( Or need to improve my english :P

 

Maybe two 24 will be better to make the transition to the new mod. But i'm sure location is important anyway.

Personnaly I've tried the new chicago server several times and (as I said too many times I know) it's the same problem than the old one.. Shots don't hit many times..

I stanged quit 2 days ago again, was against Chappie cause he was hopping all the time across the map (no pb 'bout that, i love eating rabbits) and I couldn't kill him, was just boring to shot and never hit, so bb and go FT1!!!!

The car jammer is still having major problems...either it has to work 100% of the time or it shouldn't be on the mod. I've now been killed 3 times in a map because a car drove right up to my feet and blew up, AND I have the jammer on.

You are welcome. So far I have seen responses by a few of the usual suspects and it seems the consensus is to just disable the fire button. But if a larger group wants to make their opinions known this is the weekend to do it.

Any way it could be jammed for like6-10 sec and then recover?that would allow the person to get away but the car still have some usefullness. Im good with whatever and i know you work non stop on this. I just switch my class up to accomodate the map usually any way.Either way you do an Excellent job of trying to keep a bunch of idiots happy and we all appreciate your work!

Been testing it this morning and what will happen is that if you press the fire button but within range of a player jammer it wont work and you will get an icon in the middle of the screen so you will know. Otherwise there is no effect and you can drive away. Still working on a balanced range and 128 unit radius from the player looks pretty good. Also going to restore novagas effects for disorientation but no damage to make it consistant with the stock game.

 

As for server differences and updates between Chi and NY, mods must progress and evolve to one extent or another. Mostly out of necessity to make it more efficient and to fix balance issues. But also to sometimes introduce new options if they enhance gameplay.

i personally think that the gas effect on teammates need disable as i ve had too many teammates throw gas on me on purpose and get me killd bunch of people bitch bout this...i tell them to post but no one does...or just disable the gas altogether

the gas is good, slows down people's movement.... no need to get rid of it.

 

but as you said, the damage taking of the gas that has been trown by a friendly is just absurd.

man i heard that, that stuff sucks, i think if you let friendlys be able to take the gas, every map is going to be a solid purple puff and your not going to know if its your teams or not any way,so your going to get the same effect

Well when someone throws a novagas nade you can just ask your teammates if one of them threw it. Problem solved.

I never liked the cars but now that they are here to stay i use them too now, but that jammer is a real sickener, you have to work to get a car perk (3 kills) but it can be disabled by a perk (eavesdrop) anyone can have with no work involved, i think the EMP nades do the job ok, the jammer is just counter productive, it seems like everyone is now using eavesdrop.

You dont have to work to get Eavesdrop but you do have to give up some nice perks to get it. Or do you think its also unfair that there is a perk to block UAV? ;)

I play about 30 hours a week...every day.....but....but I have not seen anyone catch the Nuke......25 only gun kill is impossible..

set it on 17 or 18....think you have more chance to get one than

set it on 17 or 18....think you have more chance to get one than

I assume after that you picked up the weapons of one of those 13 you shot when you were empty?

When you want 20 kills, you can't go on each enemy's body Cause it's a bubble, and going on a bubble after killing the guy is a total suicid, especially if you want many kills in a row. When you really want 20 kills, you're not going on close combat, you shot from some distance, if not you're dead quickly. Ask to people with a ratio up to 2 :P
