Why Does Cod4 Keep Changing My Settings On My Video In Game Play?

It has been going on for some time where when ever I have that multiple games open up all at the same time and when it finally get the game back on screen my dpi is dropped from 1650 down to 1260 or lower sometimes. I have tpo shut the crazy game completely down and reset it back to 1650. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this and how I can stop it? It is getting really irritating and I would rather spend my time in game playing!

This used o happen to me , every time the game crashed ,which it still does after about 3 games, the video settings would change ,to fix it ,I had to set the mp-config to read only and deny wright. game still crashes but at least I don't have to reset my video settings.

After the game crash and when u start the game again, that thing pop up, click on NO

then yea make your config read only could do the trick too.

after the crash and you restart game, a white box pops up and asks if you want to run in safe mode, if you hit yes it resets all your settings. so hit 'no' and there no changes made.

I think you have all missed the point ? The box thats pops is not what we are talking about at all , when the game crashes and you finally get back into it,, the video settings have been reset, period., And the only way I have seen to stop it, is set your mp-config to read only and deny wright.

and I wanted to make sure he was not clicking yes on the box, which would also change it. there is one that often pops up saying your computer has had hardware changes since the last time you ran the game, and it wants to reset all your graphics settings if you click yes. the second pop up box often asks if you want to run in safe mode.

 

and also, the last nvidia driver update I got, changed a bunch of stuff for me. I had to work on my config again myself to straighten it out.

Nope but got it fixed where it can't change anything now without my allowing it ti now! Lol!
