Hey guys, working on a smal/medium map.

 

so far i made:

 

Bar / Diner - Spawn axis (8O% is done)

 

Audio store -  Spawn ally (60% done)

 

Gun range - (2% is done)

 

4th building ????   - (0% done)

 

Tunnel level 1 (20% done)

 

Tunnel level 2 (5% done, no idea if i even make this.)

 

General map progress 25% ish.

 

This map will have:

 

Buildings, Camp spots, Anti-camp ambush, Tunnels ( lvl 1 and a lvl 2). Destroyable walls, Tactical insight (all places will be flankable). and im trying to make spawns for both team that are equal strong.

 

 

Lots of Textures,lights, Details, objects, cover. and things to build i still have to do, this is a rough look sofar.

 

ETA for completion : 4-8 months. depends on the time i got, and how much detail i wil bring into it. or i wil put this in the dumbster when i think this map is fuckt.

 

Idea's, comments i like to hear.

interesting looking map..cant wait to try it out..gl with it..i know map makin is very time consuming and difficult...nice job so far

NO tunnels I hate tunnels. Audio store HXTR is going to ask you if it will run the I Tunes ? Any of you guys ever hear about COD 5 better tools and way more fun :)-

Don't put it in the dumpster.  I have done that with a lot of maps so I know how it goes - but this one looks promising.  Lastly - don't "over paint it."  I think we all have a tendency to continue to tweak and muddle with our stuff even when it is more or less ready to go.  Kind of like a painter who, once the painting is actually completed, continues to mess with it.

detail is my weakness when it comes to a map but your looks great so far

ye, map and detail = win, its alot of work, like makeing door's window frames. adding random junk. and destroyable items / walls.

adding these things is EASY!!!. the harderst part is "thinking how and what i should add (IDEA`S) ".

 

main problem now is, how i close this map, like the border, 1 side @ car tunnel, i make huge mounten, and then its 3 more side's to fill in.....

 

 

 

 

I want upload soon a Beta of this map, checking if it aint to small, bugs cet.

 

 

who goes over Map rotation on COD4? cuz i really think its a real good map, even now in crappy Alpha version.

LOl you can make the chicken the size of a player if you like. Select the model hit the n key (entity I think) in the key vaule enter modelscale and in the value it can be almost anything. 1 is stock 2 is like 2x bigger .5 would be 1/2 size and so one.
