I know this is political, but i am interested in what you think about a Free Trade Agreement

between the US and the EU.

I say yes, it's a good idea.

- It would create new jobs
- Traveling would be easier as there is no customs duty (Here in Germany the limit for goods is 430€ ($ 549,76). If you exceed it you have to pay taxes and customs duty

- shopping would be Easier, and cheaper and could boost the US economy. For example:

A Samsung flat tv is at $1799 (1407,08€) - and the same here in DE: 1799 € ($2300,07) wtf?  With  A Free Trade Agreement

it would be round about 400 € cheaper.
For the car lovers: Buying European cars like BMW, VW or Mercedes would be cheaper too ;)

So, what do you think?

This is the way that the EU was born.  We signed up to a Common Market - the EEC - and before we knew it we had handed over our sovereignty to anonymous Eurocrats in Brussels!  Take it from a distant descendant of redcoats - those darned colonists won't give a centimetre without a fight! :hrhr:   (I admire them for that!!!)  We have a star-spangled banner too and it isn't one we want to fly!

Not a big fan of free trade agreements....NAFTA seems to have benefitted Mexico more than anyone imo.

Prices have never fallen as we were told they would either..

Free trade doesn't end up being "FAIR TRADE" and that is the problem.

Yes, it was a big one :) and just an example.

Another one:

Levi's 901:

90€ ($117) in Germany and could be round about 40€ ($52)

What me really pisses of is that they only change the currency symbol for many goods. The TV was one example. I was thinking about a Razer Deathstalker. US price: $250, Germany: 250€

@@JohnnyDos

I agree!

@@7toes_ky

Which one you are talking about?

If the Free Trade Agreement we have with Mexico is any example I am totally against it.

It's bogus, ill managed and creates an unfavorable competitive market for the US.

I wish it could be revoked.

Unless the countries are somewhat economically equal the country with the better living standard comes out a loser.........big time.
