Me and my brother went fishing this weekend.

So we set up our fishing gear and saw the lightning slowely comming our way.

a few hours later it was raining cats and dogs.

It took us a 100 pictures to get these two.

(see the 2 rots in the left)

We sat all night and in the morning this one came around.

Not the amount we hoped for but the sightseeing was great this night

Cool pictures.

When I was a kid in southern Ohio, in the winter the Ohio river would flood and when the water went back down there would be these ponds left in the fields just full of big carp and catfish. As the summer went on the ponds would get smaller until they were really small and had hundreds of huge fish in them. Me and my friends would roll up our pants and wade out in the water with aluminum baseball bats and make a pile of dead fish on the bank. Some of these fish were well over 50 pounds.

Yes, I had a disturbed childhood. Kind of like Canadians clubbing baby seals, only with fish.

Nice fish, but glad you don't eat carp, just a poop eater.

Here is a photo for you from last June. I had to throw him back because Snapper are protected in Florida waters.

Carp may or may not be good eating... Catching them in clean water helps. But they are AWESOME to catch. The ultimate game fish. Powerful, get huge, finicky. Catch one on a fly rod on purpose. Good challenge. :)

We have a tournament here at Bighorn Lake called "The Big Lip Tournament" Fly rods only and most use an artificial Grasshopper (no live bait)

Yes big Carp on a fly rod is a "party" . . . :smoke:
