Tens of thousands enlisted in the military as a direct result of 9/11, and I seriously doubt if they cared what the death toll was on that horrible day. It could have been 1 death, the fact was we were attacked and they were willing to put their lives on the line to get back at those responsible.

 

Millions enlisted following the deaths of 2,000+ at Pearl Harbor and nearly a half million of our people died in the following 4 years.  I don't hear many (or anybody) asking if that war was worth it or questioning if Pearl Harbor was an inside job.

I will never forget that day.  I remember that Bama and I were watching television and saw the reports of the first plane. We were wondering how such an accident could happen. Then I recall the feeling of fear and helplessness as we watched the 2nd plane hit live. Our hearts sank as we knew then that this was no accident.  We looked at each other in stunned disbelief.  I recall the feeling that I HAD to go get my children from school as I thought we should all be together.  No one knew exactly what was going to happen.  I was so scared.  I reported the events to the staff at school.  They had no idea what was happening.  When I spoke to one teacher and explained why I was taking my child from her class, she first thought I was overreacting.  As I explained further, her face changed and tears welled up in her eyes.  I took the children home and all six of us (we had custody of our niece and nephew at the time) knelt in our family room and prayed.  

 

I remember that the skies were empty for a while but I can't recall how long it was before planes could fly again.  I see and hear planes a lot but not nearly as much as a lot of people do.  I'd be interested to hear what it was like for people who work at airlines or who live near major airports.

Thanks for the post @@Shamu. I remember that day like was yesterday. We in Canada received most flights that could not land in the USA and helped the passengers by letting them stay in our homes. I felt sick that anyone would be so callous. We truly live in fucked up times. I can't believe it's 2 years already.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I can't help but scratch my head in disbelief at the pentagon part of the attack. Have you ever looked at the (single) clip they released? There is no way that was hit by an airplane.

I used to live in Ontario, California near the Ontario International Airport and I watched and heard jets taking off and landing at all hours. After the attacks and all flights were grounded i would go out in my back yard and the silence was deafening . . .  . .very strange how quiet it was  . . . . you just expected when you went outside to hear some type of jet or prop plane taxiing or taking off   eerie.

When they lifted the ban and started flying again it took awhile to be comfortable with those big jets flying close by knowing how some stupid Assholes could just hijack and crash it wherever.

Too many innocent people  . .just ordinary folks going about their day with no clue what was about to happen . .gone in an instant.

 

America would never be the same.

I work for United Airlines, I was at work, watched the second plane hit, and was tryin to find out if we were missing more planes, reports were that we were, but after the tragedy in Pennsylvania, the rest landed safely.  Will never forget

I remember the minute of silence we had in the airport on 09/12 at the time the first plane crashed . i've never seen an airport so quiet,everybody was petrified . There was this American lady silently crying during the all minute...very emotional . I still got chicken skin just thinking about it .

I was not quoting exact numbers and my point is..... we lose 3000 people on 911 and spend another 7000+ of our military plus all the PTSD and many other injuries... ALL FOR A LIE!

 

No fucking way 2 planes destroyed 7 buildings. How did the jet that hit the pentagon fit in that small hole and where did the engines go as it hit the building. And of any pilots out there OLIVE????... you cant fly that size of a plan at 500 mph and just skim off the ground like they claimed. Weird no video of that plane at all.. hunmmm the most watched and secure building in the world does not have video of that day. You can only get so low.. physics keeps the plane from flying any lower. In possible at the angle they showed.   

 

Why was the Dooms Day plan flying over Washington DC that day. The Dooms day plane is a remote control 747 in the event of a disaster it is used to fly congress and other to a safe location. 

 

I can go on and on with evidence. 

 

I miss my country.. this one we have now is going to shit.

If American Airlines flight 77 didn't really hit the Pentagon, where is the crew and the passengers? Are you contending that our government conspired to kill all of those people, completely hid all evidence of that jet then fired a missle at the Pentagon? Oh and I almost forgot the best part, that missle must have been full of American Airline jet parts because there were literally tons of plane debris found in and around the Pentagon. Were there men in black suits running around just after the impact planting all of that debris? Our government can't do anything right, and yet they can somehow pull this off without anybody that was involved telling the truth?

 

 

 

If you don't think a commercial airline can fly at that angle at that speed, check out footage of the Korean airline that recently crashed in San Francisco. Now imagine the jet hitting the solid walls of a building instead of ending up on a runway. The one that hit the Pentagon wasn't going 500 mph, it was coming in low and slow at a shallow angle, just like the jet in the link below.

I do not know or have an opinion on the conspiracy theories but I do know a lot of innocents died in the attacks and many more heroic first responders who gave their lives saving others.

 

The follow up military actions also took many more American and Allied lives are also as a direct result of the attacks on 9/11.

 

I do know those that have died as a result of the attacks on 9/11 or subsequent military action deserve to be remembered by all of us for the cost they have paid.

 

Remembrance is an issue in itself.

 

Conspiracy theories are a separate issue.

it was a missle ...few witness' actually had told media that they saw the plane leaving the area above the pentagon...and all the science proves this bldg was not hit by the plane...and the fact that no engines fragments were not found no parts of the plane were recovered...so a plane hit the pentagon and decentagrated i find that a 757 could not just do that its not even remotely possible...no bodies..the one crashed in PA...no bodies no plane fragments nothing...even live news media at the seen said no evidence of a plane left or bodies could be found...and also we were told that the flight recorders for the pentagon hit were not found...so now we got virtually indestructable recorders that incinerated? them boxes can handle fire degrees up to nearly 3000 degrees ..and plane fire with burning fuel cant and wont get that high..simple physics and chemistry can prove that alone.but yet they incinerated? im not buying ..just saying...

i say one thing bout the conspiracy of this dreadful day....if you want to see evidence that you never seen b4 or media was told not to show ....watch the episode of 9/11 on jessie ventura conspiracy theory show....it will blow your mind....may even change ur mind....im sorry just no way plane hit the pentagon hole or damage to the bldg doesnt even remotely come close to it being hit by 757 and only i mean only video we get released from government that captured supposed hit ....where 757 at? how did that angle not catch the plane on video? the camera angle had good spot if 757 hit the bldg then plane should been in video no matter what speed that plane was coming at...simple physics...all security footage for any bldg in the radius of the planes flight was captured it....but the government comfiscated all of it and all we get was the video which only shows a fireball and explosion...no 757

You have to watch the videos but info and sources out there...but i don tget too much in truly believing in it all tho...but it makes me think its definately possible... do search in you tube ..on 9/11 conspiracy and check videos out for urself...or try 9/11 pentagon attack or something u will eventually find the video i saw tho...i would post the link to it but it might just stir up more trouble then is really needed...also do search and type jesse ventura conspiracy theory 9/11 episode ...think there is separte episode for the pentagon one as well...

I saw a youtube video narrated by Randy Quaid that said aliens did it. I think everybody should look it up because he has some detailed drawings done on cocktail napkins that really made me think.

I remember that day very well, I saw two US F-15s escorting an Air China Boeing 747 over Vancouver in route to the Yukon...scary stuff, the transponder on the Air China plane was not working...

Randy Quaid?  He  lost his marbles a long time ago LOM, He  claimed refugee status in Canada  because some "Hollywood star-whackers" were after him.  He was turned down, went into hiding and now lives in Calgary...probably hiding under Pete's bed ;-)
