Why do you have the same guid? Turning pb off is never a good idea.

We have for probably 5 years, don't have a problem on any of the other servers

I know I should buy another copy of the game but I'm scared ill not be able to get punk Buster set up correctly.....

I believe GG means that even though PB is active on the NOACR mod server, it does not kick for concurrent use of the same GUID. Perhaps, duc disabled some flag for it. Last I knew, if a game key is in use the game doesn't let you connect to a server with message "Key Code already in use".

Eventually this mod will move there anyways. Soon as the kinks are worked out.

 

Upped the gas damage and restarted server. You will also see a message when you die or respawn telling you how long you have played this mod+foldername. Hopefully everyone should be different and it will tell me if its keeping track properly. Only bug in the log was a minor one about hacker and a frozen player.

Have you definitely got the same guide? Having the same cd key on a different pc doesn't necessarily create a duplicated guide, I thought.

Yea according to the game logs they have the same one. It could also be a matter of if its the same IP. I assume it is.  I dunno. I suspect yea that particular check is disabled on the other server but I have no idea how that is controlled.

 

edit: I made a small change how it disables weapons when frozen and reenables them when defrosted. I dont know if it will actually be any different. Tell me how it goes and if there are any problems.

Maybe this is discussed somewhere, but why did Hacker get moved?  None of the perks in perk 1 do I care about.  I'd rather have a soft perk like hacker to select rather than having to choose between a bunch of grenades or crossbows.  Perk #1 in the new mod is a bit of a waste for my playstyle.

 

As clarification, my normal load out is Hacker, Hardline, and Hardwire.

It is so perk 1 is equipment and explosives only. It is what the developers originally intended but they changed their minds and moved a couple things around sometime before release. I also thought about using the original names but decided that would be confusing. Perhaps I should. My guess is that they chose not to include something akin to the Dirty Harry, molotov cocktail, and the AT4. So the number of perks in #1 was too few. Later they simply made explosives its own category.

 

In order, the originals were

You mean the stuff at the top? They dont happen very often so I just left them as the players rank up. I really want to avoid significant changes at this late date but if this is an issue with a lot of people I might be able to move it to the 'pulse' thing.  Believe it or not I dont remember offhand what kind of things use it now.

 

For the other I assume you mean the obits. That should be a server option that can be turned off. Others have asked me for player cards but I didnt have the room. The most distracting thing that I wanted to tone down or remove as much as possible was the bold text that would stay on the screen for 5+ seconds. The newer method is significantly better inho.

Yea which is why I made the bonus stuff as quick as possible while still being able to see what it was. The longest ones are for 5 kill counts and streak awards. Some items are placed in certain locations so they dont conflict. The lower hint messages cannot conflict with the in-game hints such as defusing the bomb or the progress bars.

 

I deleted my profile to get a look at the rankups and yea in comparison they do look rather big. I will see what I can do if its not going to open a can of worms.

@@Sammy did you increase the speed of Turret deployment?

 

Me Nighto and BoomBoom tried to replicate the bug but could not get it to do it.Which is a good thing btw lol.

Since after the oldmw2mod it isn't possible to view your stats(kill/deaths, playtime, etc) anymore. I'd love to see these :s I guess the link to "ranks & challenges" was removed because challenges was removed, but I just wanted to put it out there I miss it ;)

No I didnt. I will be uploading a small change in how it all works however due to some stability problems if people do multiple weapon switches too fast between a streak and a gun. Sometimes things get stuck and the function watching for streak activation no longer works until respawn.

 

I made a quick test and it looks like I can move the rankups to the flyby one like is done for Dominating and the rest. It would fly in fast, stay there and play the current rankup music, and fly out. Would this be better?

You mean the EOG stats? I have to check that out. As for challenges, yea I took those out and used the assets for the bonuses. The reason is because the challenges were useless except for points and could only happen once.

Even dead silence is better than just explosives....I will make due of course, but just a little disappointed that I can't choose.  It would actually be much nicer if all perks were available at all levels.  Meaning, if ppl really love explosives, they could choose 3 perks for explosives (I realize you probably can't do this because you can't have both claymores/betties tied to the same button).  Just wishing they didn't have to be categorized at all and you could just pick any 3 perks you like.

Ugh, I dont even want to think about that one. Also have to remember that the grip takes the place of explosives so have to account for that. Smoke cannot use the 3X perk. Cant have both 3X lethal and 3X tactical. And on. :lol:

Sounds good, would like to try it out though.

Unfortunately the rankup icon looks pixely. But maybe its always been that way and I never noticed.
