Thanks for the heads-up.  Due for a back-up anyway so guess now's the time for sure and just prior to installing this new update.  I've disabled automatic download and install but can only hold it off for so long.

I did a backup, it was due anyway, updated yesterday and have had no problems.  But it does seem to boot slower just don't know why... just a microcrap thing I guess... What we really need is a Windows 10 Lite, cut out all that phone and xbox crap that a lot of PC guys don't really use.  Now off to go check my privacy settings again...

They plan on pushing apps with this update I believe....I would suggest everyone either back up or record current date/driver build/supplier on all your hardware because it seems they are ripping out video and sound drivers and replacing with a windows supplied driver

Nope they have all of you test it for them.

Unless you set update to Semi-Annual Channel. Default is Semi Annual Targeted.

Semi Annual Targeted means that it is ready to be tested by other computers BUT it is Not ready for Widespread use.  So basically your the guinea pig AKA Beta Tester for the new updates.

I didn't get the Spring Creators Update version 1803 that was released April 10th. It was officially ready for Widespread use on July 7th. It installed with no problems what so ever.
