Extracted 175 pounds of honey last week. So far today I bottled 28 bottles each bottle is 500 mil. They hold 1 pound 6.5-7.5 ounces each. That converts to 637-667 grams. The air bubbles will rise up and out over 24 hours. IMG_7280.thumb.jpeg.01d200464b003c07b682f20d838be26f.jpegIMG_7278.thumb.jpeg.c58d1afa35a1d4f66385b7e14ad62469.jpegIMG_7274.thumb.jpeg.cb5d57cc1f15fede1de46beb03529c1a.jpeg

Yes, I’m selling it. This is only my second year bee keeping. $12 Canadian local pickup.
My honey is all natural raw and simply filtered. It contains a bit of fine micro pieces pollen. Not pasteurized!

Ever spread it on a slice of bread?

It crystallizes & makes it crunchy.

Then all you gotta do is add a fine layer of peanut butter...maybe even a sliced banana.

I always eat Peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I also take a half spoon just because it's so great.

Gotta love the fact that honey can last for decades even centuries if it is stored correctly. plus the changes in color over time are a result of its high quality. One of the true bounties of nature. What sorts of flowers do your Bee's tend to enjoy the most? Around here in the Seattle area with our climate most beekeepers have lots of lavender growing on their property because it grows so well and flowers for a long time here and folks love the flavor profile. Honey can be different based on what the bees have available to them. Some of the best honey I have ever tasted came from the Fruit Tree orchards where they have Cheery, Apple, Pear, Plum, Peach, and Apricot trees in the area. Do you even worry about where your bees feed? Do you use a Flow Hive or the combs that slide to allow the honey to flow very quickly? I live in a Townhouse with only a small deck for chairs and BBQ so no room for bees plus the HOA would have a shit fit, city living problems. Nice work BTW

We have Red Maple, Dandelion, white dutch clover, white sweet clover, Apple, Colts foot, Black Berries, Blueberries, wild roses, Basswood, Mountain ash. There are so many wild flowers I now have an app to try and help me understand.

Most honey bees forage in a 2 mile radius so i only see the few in my yard. Most of my hives have about 40,000 bees times 5 means I have about 200,000 bees! I lose track of them lol. Our fall season we have many varieties of goldenrod and asters.
