Well how would you like to be in Norway and have lost family to that idiot who killed all those people and admits to doing it? Did you know the maximum sentence he can receive is 21 years? No life sentences, death penalty in Norway Sachedina said the typical maximum sentence for criminal offences in Norway is 21 years. The country does not use capital punishment or life sentences in its justice system. So much for Liberal laws. It just is not fair to the families who have lost loved ones.

My heart goes out to the family and friends that lost loved ones in that senseless tragedy. Up to this point Norway was a peacefull country with very little severe crimes. Unfortunately things may change... When u live in a society where murder and crime is the norm, you become hardened to the fact. Its a sad day when you felt safe one day and did not the next... Things will never be the same in that country i fear... As for person who commited these crimes... Death is the only justice, Awards

Canada has a 25-year maximum, but we also have a "Dangerous Offender" clause reserved for serial killers, serial rapists etc. Animals like Clifford Olson, former Colonel Russell Williams and Paul Bernardo will die in Prison. My problem with the death penalty is that there is too great a risk of condemning an innocent person to death because some lawyer was more persuasive than another. Look it up via Google: How many innocent people have been executed, and how many more are on Death row? Search "Cameron Todd Willingham" for example. The vileness of some crimes makes one scream for the ultimate retribution, but the risks are far too great, and as a deterrent to further crimes, it just doesn't work. just my $.02 Awards

I would be camping outside that prison door for weeks waiting for him to come out. And I would make sure somehow he knew I was waiting for him. I would send him a copy of that recent film "Law Abiding Citizen", cut right after the scene where he tortures the guy who killed his family. That way he could feel the kind of terror that those defenseless kids on the island felt when he gunned them down one by one. I would even keep him alive as long as possible so that he could endure days and days of pain and suffering The best part is that I would gladly carry out the same process on him that the guy in the movie did. I know a lot of people say revenge is no cure, but I would not be looking for a cure. I would be looking to make him understand the fear and suffering he caused to a bunch of kids - the fucking coward. It would be time for him to be picked on by someone his own size. Only then could I be at peace as knowing I did nothing to avenge my child's death at the hand of a callous coward. A coward who is only a big man with a gun in his hand pointing it at helpless kids begging not to be killed. Piece of shit does not deserve to live among decent people Awards

The bible states that you should abide by the laws, but in medieval times these were horrific laws and sentences at times with no logical justice ==so who is to say their laws are better or worse? The bible also says that thou shalt not kill, but it also says an eye for an eye. I want to say, gut him,and let the buzzards finish, but then ...who am I to judge a life? My gut feeling is to make an example of him to deter any others in his wake.He is clearly the villain--- an eye for an eye. In Casey Anthony's case, the court has made its decision by a jury and we must respect that. We all think she killed her daughter, just like we think O.J. killed Nicole, jurisprudence was done by jury and all we have is the media to base our verdicts on--like a thumbs up or down as the way we see it from the stands, and god forbid we repeat history-- just in a different forum.
