I think his graphics card may be going bad or overheating. He cleaned the case it needed it bad he said and my spare card won't support WOW so he may need to replace his card. WOW is what my radio 5875 went down on make sure you get one with at least 1 gb of memory! You can get by with less but hell lag a lot then! as far as recommending a card let our fellow mwmbers that know something about that do that! I will try to be more careful in the future I must be an idiot BTW, The 9800GT will support it only as long as it has driver version 275.33 or better installed The others are "not supported" but might work. PC locks up in a loop.. sound goes over and over.. you know da da da da da and you hardware lock. Push the power button for 10 seconds till it turns off. Could be memory.. could be GPU.. and can be CPU.. Heat can do some crazy shit. Step one.. house fan. Works.. cool.. does not wiork got to step two. Step two.. remove ram and cycle until to help determine what memory stick it is. Run on minimum just to test. Step three start replacing parts.. video card be my first suspect. Why... he never locked up in 2d mode.. just 3d. But also why memory could be it because you us so much more and hit that bad spot and your done. Nick called me today and is sending me a extra graphics card I will be able to slide in for him. My son has asked me to tell everyone thanks for helping him. If something else happens I will update this post but I don't think throwing parts at it will isolate the problem so we will jump off each bridge as we come to it but the graphics card Nick is sending is absolutely an upgrade.
