I wouldn't play the beta unless an admin was on and playing too so they could change the map when they hung. It sucks having 10 people on a server that just give up and go offline after a map crashes.

 

I love the beta but this is the experience I've had on it.

Played a couple maps last night and thought it was ok. i do like some of the changes like the rc car having the tail and some of the stuff coming from WAW.

one thing i really noticed was the gun having a better hit registration most of the time, that was much needed.

I like it well enough that I don't think I'll miss the old mod when it changes over.

 

 

 

that gun has a WAY bigger hit registration. need 5 bullets instead of a full mag to kill someone. it's like HC now! thats awesome and speeds up the kills/defrosts. only thing that looks different is the time on the RC car. it looks like it's moving slower and the time is shorter.

Yep, I feel the same thing, but it's more fair than before for me.

personally i think the game play is the same except the weapons are different...i like chicago one better as of now just my opinion...dont think i like the new clays i think the old ones are much more effective..i still say that Mw2 V.2 was and still should be the best version out i miss it..

The gameplay is a lot faster then the old version. Faster kills, faster thaws. Some maps take forever.....

I agree completely with Cobra. I thought the old mod was perfect the way it was. The new mod is very fast. I can barely play 10 minutes of it before I leave. My 2 cents.

Can we change the autobalance from doing it right in the middle of a round, people are leaving and joining all the time should just put it back to when the round ends.

At 30 health, if close enough to the attacker (range depending on the weapon class) everything will kill you in one shot if its at the torso or the head. Ran damage tests for every new weapon and compared them with their stock counterparts. Will check out the sway. All weapons (including snipers) should have it in the current revision. Including snipers.

range doesnt seem to have any affect on damage. getting sniped across a map with a pistol is not right. all of the weapons are too powerful. it is way too easy to kill people now.

Compared to the other servers its likely because health is set at 30... which is the minimum damage for most bullet weapons not counting hit location modifiers or stopping power. So most are one shot one kill and is normal for HC. Pistols do a minimum of 20 and max of 40 (DE does 30 and 50).

 

Range does have an effect. All bullet weapons have a inner radius where max damage is always assumed before modifiers are added. They also have an outer range where anything past is the minimum. 20 points in the case of pistols. You are correct however that pistols can potentially shoot as far as snipers but not with the same accuracy. Game limitation and I have been pistol sniped for years especiallly on HC servers.

Make a backup of your player profile and delete it to create a new one. Earlier version had a bug related to the drop object button.

i think to speed up the gameplay. you get way more kills, deaths...killsteaks and thaws. for me at least it is way more fun. scores are bigger and don't have to shoot a whole clip into someone to get him/her killed.

the other mw2 is also hardcore which I like better then then server 1 where its about getting the most powerful mg or a sniper or now everyone uses the g3 and scrolls the shots...so gayd and I absolutly hate unloading a clip to kill someone there.I like the mw2 servers as hardcore.great work we are having a blast and all the servers are filling up at some times..

But in all seriousness that is obviously the perogative of server admins and clan members. So it is a question to ask amongst yourselves. ;%29.gif

 

I can keep an option however that I have been playing around with. Keep health at 30. But on spawn give 30 points of body armor. Half the time it will be enough to stop one max damage round in HC. But once used thats it. No armor regen.

it is too easy to kill now. i hope its not because of people crying about putting full clips into someone and not getting a kill. hell, people are still doing that in the new mod. god forbid people learn to aim and shoot or use the Stopping Power perk.

Change things just to changes this...the chicago server has a good set up with only minor issues, now the new server plays completely differently and I do understand all of the unneeded changes. To some degree it seems like it iwas an "ooo what does this button do" set up.

The 30 points of body armor is like 30 points of health. But since this server doesnt have health regen it acts like having them combined into 60 health. If you get the award that is. Or the death streak. But yes its hard to tell in HC with only 30 points normal health. So servers can bump that up if desired. Adding it to the hit indicators so if you shoot someone with it the master chief helmet pops up so you will know.

 

Since you are interested in whether or not it does anything, I am going to recommend that the care package award for it be bumped up to 200 points. Then when you try to shoot someone with it you will know the effect when he just laughs at your bullets and gets close to knife you. :w00t:
