I haven't bought a new desktop PC in several years and anything more than a couple years old is considered an antique. I've owned just about every major brand over the last 15 years and by far the most reliable have been my Toshiba's, at least in laptop models. I've been playing COD2 on my Toshiba laptop for the last 4 years and it hasn't failed me yet. My job will involve taking and storing tons of hi-res images, so I'll need a computer with major storage and decent graphics, and no, I'm not considering an Apple. I also want something that will run COD2 without any trouble which shouldn't be difficult. Many manufacturers seem to be switching from tower models to all-in-one types where the entire computer is in the monitor. Seems like that could be a problem if I ever want to upgrade, but maybe not. So here's what I'm considering from Toshiba. Toshiba All-in-One LX830-BT2N22 Desktop with some custom features 23 inch wide screen/touch screen monitor Wireless Keyboard and mouse Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor 2.30GHz (3.30GHz with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0), 6MB L3 Cache Windows 7 Professional 64 bit 16GB DDR3 1600MHz (8GB + 8GB) 2 TB Hard Drive Microsoft Office 2010 3 year warranty on-site repair Total cost $1,806.99 So am I missing out on any better deals or more high performance PC's for the price? Never use a 2 terrabite HD as your main. Its to big get a snappy 1 terrabite and use the big ones as back ups and data stge. And as for all in ones its a new industry thing there doing to us. There real cute but its designed to be unrepairable. Use wear it out and toss it so you have to get a new one not just fix it. Its how they make money these days I guess and Apples the worse at it. Your Loss I also want something that will run COD2 without any trouble which shouldn't be difficult. COD2 ran great on my Mac Pro, COD4 does so as well, never an iw3.exe error or a virus. Many manufacturers seem to be switching from tower models to all-in-one types where the entire computer is in the monitor. Ooooh, how innovative, I wonder who popularized that form factor? hmmm.
