Hey Guys

 

The admin team got together and we have made a list of maps that are up for deletion. Now these are ONLY up for consideration. We want to give you all the opportunity to voice your thoughts in an open forum concept. Please feel free to add your opinion.

 

We also feel that time is a factor since the current rotation is a mess, and changes are required.

 

Note; If any maps are not listed below that are on the current rotation, they will remain.

 

The Maps in RED are the ones we are considering for deletion. We also are adding an addtional shootie maps and one pistol ( 2 shootie & 1 pistol total).

 

Blimp Cottage will be reset as a regular map.

World Cup will be reset as a Shootie.

DeadEnd will be reset to a Shootie and if not Cheesy to be reinstated.

Add: Shipment as a Pistol. (If possible, to be comfirmed with Rugger)

Add: Winter V2 (If possible, to be comfirmed with Rugger)

Add: Pripyat, Chernobyl (If possible, to be comfirmed with Rugger)

Add: Currahee Al Badi, Iraq (If possible, to be comfirmed with Rugger)

  • Frenzes - Large arena little to no cover
  • Gob_Arena - small map with cover but a really shitty map
  • killingzone - same as above
  • secretairfield - this is probably the worst spawn killing map we have.
  • Street_Susux - small with 2 building on opposite sides of a mine field. More condusive to TDM
  • Volga - small map, little cover
  • Dark_Forest_rain - large rectangular map with scattered trees for cover
  • Dark_Forest - same as above only in day light. Perhaps should be remove

  • Hill 24 - Spawn point issues.

  • Freeman - huge map with many industrial buildings for cover

  • Destiny - Spawn Point issues.

  • Hawkeye Aim - Spawn point Issues.

  • JS Aim - Spawn Point Issues.

I will be doing these changes today, I'm actually leaving out of town for 5 days so I wont be around later to change anything. We will try these changes you admins suggested and will make adjustments when I get back if need be.

All changes have been made, I also added a couple other maps to fill in the maps that were taken out. Not all the maps you see on the server are in the map voting, some of those maps you have listed to delete are not in the map voting. I can't take them out with out redoing the whole map pack which would be a pain in the ass. Once there is a solid map voting rotation set then I will redo the map packs. The map teleport square has to go. It is nothing but a damn spawn fest. People lining up on spawn spots and killing you 10-15 times in a row without you even firing a shot. Some of us asked to change it but there were too many people doing the spawn killing to get the change. It totally ruined my evening and put me in a bad mood. I love coming in here and gaming but that was absolutely fucking pathetic.

I think most agree after a few more rounds in Teleport. Since it has been a voting system and we started with a lot of maps, it will be this feedback that helps result in getting and keeping a good rotation. Teleport Square was one that almost got cut, but some of us hadn't played it much (or at all). Everyone should lodge these kind of complaints here and if others agree, I'm sure it can be removed. Thanks to all in keeping COD2 alive and running pretty well again! Love the shotties!!

I was in tonight and that is a map that is a problem. It is nothing but spawn killing min. after min. We do need the feedback to make the changes that will help the servers what they need to be. Tks Nick

That's actually a great idea. I know that there are some who hate spawn protection but on those maps it would quickly do away with the spawn raping.

 

Spawn protection wouldn't do any good. People will just spawn rape at the exit to a spawn point. HAHAHAHA....and you're definately guilty of that with your trips and mines on the spawn points. You fragged me about a 100 times with those planted within 2 steps of the spawn points.

Teleport is now out of the vote rotation, I'm not 100% sure if the server needs to be restarted for it to take effect, so if there is a down moment on the server just restart it when you can.

Rugger, I still can't pull the DM maps up on HLSW to change levels. Was there a login or password change recently?
