When I spawn I am already running full blast just to run into a camper just off the spawn area with a C$ already laid out and when you come thru there you are dead! We also had a vote which was more or less a fake vote because the people that voted and made the difference in the server rarely if ever plays there. It's not right for them to have a say in a server they never play in. There was a temporary thing where if you stayed anywhere for too long you lost your weapon and a lite or something showed where your smores were located. It worked but the campers cried big time. So it was removed and I was informed that it wasn't intended to stay regardless how the vote turned out. This subject will not go away by status as it is. There are some who like Gator girl that I loved to play against and she lets me have a fair chance to get to her. Those of you who think this is about me might want to take another look at what its really about. I try my best to coach certain players as I see potential in some of them but they will never be better if they don't change to improve. The problem is we have some awesome players there and they hate getting their asses handed to them to learn how to be in the top of the class. They go back to their little hide in the bush or a dark corner and are missing the real fun of the hard, hot action (with Chile) and the real comradeship. When they do this they are not only hampering their own growth as a player but the server as a whole. I gues what we need is a verification ......is camping going to be allowed or not on the Ace Mod !!! And because of those campers alot of the run and gunners are moving on. My two cents ....BUDMAN I may stand corrected but camping always has been allowed on any of our servers with one exception: spawn camping. My style is run and gun for a bit, then camp for a bit in a good spot until it gets old or the kills dry up, then back to running for a bit. Everyone has their own style. There are players who absolutely hate Dean's talent for running and knifing, and players who hate campers. I get a kick out of hunting down campers which isn't difficult because you know where they are - it's an easy kill. We always have had and always will have these debates over style of play but bottom line: to each their own. Live with it. Indeed. People are going to play the way wanna play. That's the way it should be. I mostly run and gun but may camp from time to time based on the map or just the mood I'm in at the time. I hate getting tubed but some maps just beg for tubes so I'll pick one up too and laugh like crazy when I tube someone. Dean, I love your style of play. No one slings a knife like you. And......... It seems that this protection does not work correctly everytime. Sometimes I am not able to stay alive for more than 4 seconds. I don't know what can be done to fix the "problem" without wrecking the game... Maybe make spawn killers a little more visible? like other players being able to "see" their body heat or something? A while back the admins turned them on and lots of people got upset (could they be the campers)? We just have to face that campers are playing there and go on. One of them has bragged for years that he does it, and then accuses others. I really don't blame our admins, I mean they can regulate game play, but they can't teach character. Camping outside spawns is a character issue. I even changed the Camping issue so you couldnt camp more than a minute or 2 but that was squshed by the players themselves they voted to take away the anti-camping. I tried my friend I tried, maybe put it to a vote again do we want anti-camping (set for 2minutes)(then you have to move)) or keep it as is and the campers will be free to stay as long as they want. Ah the good ole days of running and gunning and in your case Knifing Let me know what you all want we can change it or keep it the Same.
