fireurza Posted July 21, 2013 Member ID: 677 Group: ***- Inactive Clan Members Followers: 18 Topic Count: 172 Topics Per Day: 0.03 Content Count: 1457 Content Per Day: 0.26 Reputation: 791 Achievement Points: 9890 Solved Content: 0 Days Won: 5 Joined: 11/02/09 Status: Offline Last Seen: January 16, 2024 Birthday: 02/20/1986 Posted July 21, 2013 so my ac was running a quite a bit warm today. so i popped the hood and checked to see if the compressor was running. it was not. i had my wife turn off the ac and the car then turn the car back on and turn the ac to max. the compressor came on temporarily then dropped. i do not have a high side pressure gauge just the gauge for the low side. when the car is off the low side is over 100 psi when the car is turned on and the ac is turned on the pressure drops to 80 psi for that split second the compressor clutch engages. i have a 2005 nissan altima and was going to just jump the relay to force the clutch to engage and see if its a bad clutch but unfortunately altimas of that year have a wired relay the is tied into something else and i really dont feel like splicing a lead to the battery in. Any one know how i can fix this. i dont think the clutch is bad but i cant test it. could the pressure be too high cause the system to shut off the clutch? Awards
