had my house broke into today Passports, Jewelry, Laptops, guns and the such.. Called the state Dept had all passports cancelled and flagged, called the banks this sucks!!! I don't know what to do next ?? I'm paseing sp) back and fourth. I'm PISSED I've been Violated. Never had this happen to me.  They didn't get the home PC or TV too big to carry. I know some of you in LE (or know some one very close) have some helpful things for me to do like who to call for identity theft and the shit that goes with it. 

 Also : Make sure you document your valuables!!! unless the Insurance Co does this (they don't believe it questions)) GRRRR back to inventorying or whatever............LOST

Yea but....the rifle was just received as a gift didn't have it locked up. security clearance required me to have them passports out were not back in the box.

Hopefully you had all the serial numbers for the guns and such. pass those on to the LEO's maybe they will find them at a pawn shop or in another bust. Sorry for the loss

I feel for you. When I was in my 20's some guy backed his car up into my driveway, took about 2 dozen guns and a few grand in camera equipment.  A neighbor saw the guy and recorded his license plate number and they picked him up a few hours later. All of my shit was gone. It went to trial and my neighbor testified that he saw the man open my garage door, place a lot of shit in his trunk and drive away. The jury let the fucker go for "lack of evidence". I had all of the serial numbers and none of it showed up until 5 years later. The guy that was aquitted tried to rob a bank and got caught. They searched his home and found one of my camera lenses, but the rest never did turn up. I was young and dumb without insurance on a rental house. Everything was a total loss.

 

About all you can hope for is that your insurance will pay most of what your stuff is worth or costs to replace. Sometimes the cops get lucky and get all of your stuff back, but I'm afraid the odds are against you my friend. I hope you beat the odds.

sounds like u have already done what ur suppose do...as far as identity theft...think u can report that to social security office if not mistaken..good luck to you bro...sorry for ur loss hopefully u get lucky they catch who did this and get ur stuff back...

since they got ur passports and stuff u can also report theft to the 3 main credit bureaus as well and have an identity theft alert put out thru them on ur credit incase someone tries to use ur info to gain credit...its free to do with them it doesnt cost u anything to do it...hope this helps

Oh that sucks!  So sorry you're dealing with this.  It's not only the loss of your valuables, but then you have to deal with all of the headaches of proving you are who you say you are afterward because some piece of trash decided to steal and refuses to support himself.   The identity theft is the worst!

I know how you feel and it sucks.  Last year when I was out of town my house was broken into.  Got home and the back door was wide open, stuff tossed around everywhere - all my personal items tossed around the bedroom.  I didn't sleep well for a couple months after that and well some items just cannot be replaced and those are the things that would be useless to the fkng crackhead who can't pawn them.    I slept with my 9mm next to me for quite awhile after that and jumped at every creak and noise.. bass terds.

Anyway, too much yackin .. lost you take care and I'm glad you and your family are OK.

Lost, as much as i would ever hate to suggest this. now is the time to call datalock.  they are the number 1 company in monitering the id theft.  they will do about the best possible job at keeping your id safe. especially since someone now has your info. 

 

it sucks but they might be able to stop someone fucking up your identity

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Feeling violated is a normal reaction because you were violated; maybe not in a physical way, but it was a violation to enter your home and take your things.

I was robbed about 15years ago. I was sleeping and some guy broke in and took everything he could carry, even my weed (I smoked a lot of weed back then). It turned out that he had robbed at least 8 other houses including a cops house. They called him the Sneaky Burglar (lame). When he was caught and confessed he said he was going to rape me, but my neighbors (I was in a double) started arguing loudly (common) and he got scared he would be caught. He only robbed places where everyone was asleep.
