Watch out!  I just got a "weekly status update" from Facebook that wasn't from Facebook.  Get it?  Fraudulent look-alike emails are big these days.  Check the links BEFORE you click or else you'll be like :wallbash:

Yup I got that. Immediately suspicious because I dont have a facebook account, nor will I. Carefully checked it out. Didnt find any links to China or Russia unless I missed them. Not that I would dare to click on one. :lol:

I get at least a couple a week. The only downside is that when I do get a legitimate one I usually delete it too.

If you're ever not sure if an email is legit or not, simply mouse over the link in their email without clicking on it, and your browser should display the actual link. Or you can right click on it then click properties.  If it's different than the one shown in the email it's a scam.

Even after doing that never ever click on a link anyways. Log in to whatever it points to in the usual way in the browser.

The spam filters get rid of most but one from "Amazon" came through tonight.

Two giveaways:

1) There was a zipped attachment;

2) The sender was supposedly emailing from yahoo.com!

I second the advice about never clicking on an embedded HTML link in an email.
