Because it's not actually a fix and only a preventative. Microsoft has released one program to disable the codec and one to enable it. 51004 disables the codec and therefore enables the preventative measure. 51005 enables the codec and therefore opens up the risk of infection. hxtr, Dark Asylumn and DEEJAYKEG 3 Awards

Doesnt say if it applies to open office or various email readers.
