Also do you have a PSU tester? Random shutdowns can be caused by spikes in the voltage. Basically it could be a ton of stuff.. start with the easy stuff first. make sure you don't have any old drivers installed, try rolling back your windows updates to before you were having this issue, make sure all drivers are up to date. run memtest, and chkdsk, reset your bios to defaults, and try to test your psu. Also if you can upload the crash dump file. sometimes it will have more specific information than just the event ID info. Edited May 31, 2014 by mouselad CobraBites 1

I normally let that test run at least 12 hours or more. Just to be certain the one I prefer is http://www.memtest.org/ Another thing you could do is a clean install of Windows if you have not already. If you are able I would try Windows 7. I have a motherboard that is a few years old and I honestly don't think it runs nearly as stable under Windows 8.1. Also, I do CPU overclocking and I know for some that can be an issue with Windows 8.1 Hope that helps, I finally got my system stable after months of random crashes, BSODs, etc., of course I only had issues trying to run BF4! Turned out I think the biggest issue I had was all 6 sticks of RAM I had installed had errors. Found those errors after extensive testing of EACH module and used the above memtest utility. Feel free to hit me up if you want to talk more. I have also been in the IT support industry going on 15 years. Edited June 2, 2014 by Fir3Marshal

You would want to download HWMonitor for free and monitor your temperatures of your computer. It's very handy I run it every time I start my PC. It tells you the minimum and maximum temperatures components have reached that day. Awards

Do this with graphics card first and let me know if yo have any issues with bf3 / titan fall or others , testing on diff graphics settings in game can also help , dont go max at start just play on Med-High. This sounds like a heat issue to me on card with latest update .

I am assuming windows probably recovered the missing files finally. I ended up having to do a complete format. Starting out fresh and using non-beta drivers via video card software provider. I noticed shortly after playing bf4 that the same problems began happening on all other MAJOR graphic demanding games. Its like there was memory dumps occuring during gameplay of bf4 and the memory was relative to GPU driver files. All because most new beta drivers made lately were tweaked in a certain way to try to help make a broken game "Bf4" work properly. Try running if you have not already a non beta driver. On top of this. Consider formatting and starting out new. P.s. We have the same mobo Spike. It might be the mobo. Its a finiky model and even though I love it ...its still questionable at best.
