connection in  MW2 server is delayed.....to big

1. when you shoot someone inthe head  after  5-10 sec.   hear the voice game chat  " headshot"  

2.then another :  first falls down   and my  points after 5 seconds

3.same problem for killstrike : you kill five for airstrike  and after 10 sec :)))) After you have killed other 2 players    " u have fucking airstrike " but I lost it      now i have arty:))or hely...

I can not play on this server  .... 2 clips   for  1 kill ..

 

..so not getting anywhere

 

if you have the same problems      You have to tell your opinion          because it knows that the server works fine

Notifications can be delayed but it would be unusual to be that much unless there is a big backlog of them. Also done if the server is experiencing heavy load at a particular time it will wait until the load decreases. However doing that kind of thing is common both in the standard game and mods. Streaks should have priority over everything else so if one happens the message queue will be resorted. But I will check things out and see.

 

One thing to keep in mind about awarding streaks, which has been around since 2007, is obviously if you reach five and then seven before the notification is done you wont get the airstrike. Or you might get notifications of both but only get the heli. Only way around that is stacked streaks where you lose nothing but that would be a very big job and I have little interest to get involved with that can of worms. :lol:

It's also delaying the !fu command...I told Google to Fu and it took like  30 seconds to show up, by the time get got the FU from me, The feeling was gone, Sorry Google I moved on and told some 1 else to FU by then..

The fu stuff isnt handled by the mod so I dont know. All I can do at home is fight against 20 bots and havent seen any trouble except for a couple minor script errors related to stuff I havent uploaded yet. Will log onto the server to see what I can see.

I was in for a couple rounds and the only issue I saw... other than constantly being shot... was the fu a couple times taking time to go through. But the mod doesnt handle that, nor does cod4 itself, so it might be something else related to how that works. I dont know enough about it. Of course to check out all the bonus stuff I need to actually be able to shoot all of you. But its hard enough for me to not get shot in the first place.

That would have more to do with game play than the commands processed by the in-game admin system, no? The stats system is rather slow as well, and pings are high for most players . I think Sitting-duc is to look at this.

 

On another note, I am wondering if we are being mildly DDoS'ed. Perhaps we're just overloaded. During the day my ping is 150+ at night its 94-100 ms.

LAG problem can also be a pc problem.

* virus scanner in background

* other settings on the sound cart  (special by asus pci souncart

* turn emulation off in sound settings (special creative)

* full hd less room so the pc has more to seek for sounds

* some kind of virus or spam in your pc

 

* max packets on server 100 als player

 

 

But i have another problem and that is when i play the first round the map loading from the server is full speed (90mbit) and the next round not more then 30Kbit in other words come the next day back and see if the map is loaded

Mods, expecially larger mods with lots of players and a lot of action, receive and send more data that the standard game does. So setting maxpackets higher should allow for smoother packet flow.
