Ivanhoe, Uncle Silas, The Count of Monte Cristo, Alice's Adventures Underground, Peter and Wendy, but I always return to Dickens for a treat. Finished David Copperfield the other day. Few books have ever brought tears to my eyes, but this one did. Can't say I've enjoyed all his works. Tale of Two Cities was a chore, and I gave up on Bleak House. Great Expectations is still my favorite, although Copperfield runs a close second. Bout' a hundred pages into Darwin's Voyage of the Beagle, and I'm hooked. When that's finished, going to que up The Pickwick Papers. Amazing quantity of books are available for download from the project Gutenburg. All at your fingertips, enjoy! Sonovabich 1 Awards

Think we may have to kick you out of the clan for being to clever m8 lol, seriously though i was lucky at school to have a teacher who made us read most of the Dickens stuff, if you can find it somewhere the BBC did a dramatisation of Bleak House around 6 or 7 years ago, Gillian Anderson who played Scully in the Xfiles starred in it, it was really good, it will probably be better for you than the book was, the characters Dickens created were amazing. Oliver Twist, Great Expectations and a Christmas Carol are 3 of my favourites, every Christmas i always watch at least one version of a Christmas Carol. Edited September 26, 2014 by Sonovabich

I luv science fiction too. Fav book, if you can understand it, is Lord of Light, by Roger Zelazny These will give you a different view, if your vision isn't twisted enough already. I love Zelany also. Haven't read the new Thomas Covenant books. I read the first 2 series. One of my favorite classics is Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, though my favorite Hesse book is probably Steppewolf. I would say my current favorite book of all time is another book by Alfred Bester. The Stars My Destination. It's Finally back in print and on kindle. For awhile it was up around 80 bucks for a copy. It's about a man who has no skills, no anything, can barely even speak. he is the last survivor in a spaceship that has been floating around for 6 months. the only place still airtight is a little airlocker. When he is making a supply run in the rest of the ship he sees a ship pass so close by that he can see the peoples faces. he sets off all the flares and the ship just ignores him. This fuels a hatred in him that he is driven and he must get revenge on that ship that ignored him. Really good. Bester was a pulp sci fi writer so his writing style is kind of rough but unique. I really enjoy it. Also have you read Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Cyberpunk america where the only corporations that exist anymore are pizza delivery which is run by the mob and information gathering by programming/hacking. The main character is a samurai sword wielding pizza delivery driver named Hiro Protagonist lol.
