I don't know how far around the world news of this horrendous crash of a 1950s vintage

Hawker Hunter onto a busy main road has gone.  Up to 20 people may have been killed.

It occurred at a place called Shoreham which is adjacent to the city of Brighton on the

south coast of England.  The clan has at least one Admin @@coolmd and his father residing

there (gmax_cool?).

We haven't seen coolmd on the website at least for ten days and this post is to enquire

for confirmation that he and his Dad and any other of our members/ users in Sussex are OK

and have not been touched by this tragedy.

Prayers for all the victims and their families.

I am assuming you are referring to flying airplanes at an airshow. The answer is yes, it is worth it. Airplanes fly and people love to see it. If you buy a ticket to any sporting event you run the risk of being injured. For example; a broken bat, errant hockey puck, a race car crash with flying debris, etc. In the U.S. airshows have strict rules that must be followed regarding the line of flight of the aircraft and distance from the crowd. I am sure there are similar rules in the UK, because Europe is all about aviation rules. However, the risk of injury is always present in any facet of aviation. Do we ban car races because a bystander was killed by a racing accident? Nope, we don't.
