Bubba my docs doctor called and said his xray comptuer upgraded Win 10 on its own. The passwords they had before "human" does not work no more. They opened a case with Microsoft I have the case number info but have not contacted.

I have a password reset disk and it resets the Admin SupAdmin and Administrator password to no password. As soon as I reboot they are password protected again.

He was on some forum saying to get a Win 7 product key and something else. I will get with him later on that. Have to run for now.

This is the second one this week. This one though is an important PC. His XRay machine is down till I fix this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't log into the computer to do that. No of the accounts are accessible. One is called Admin the other is called SupAdmin. Both are locked. My boot password reset unlocked the account but once I boot back into Win10 it shows they are locked.

This is crazy...

that is what I have and it works still I reboot and load 10. If I reboot and boot of the cd again it still show unlocked.. till 10 loads and it is locked again.

I have a boot DVD like Rami was talking about. It says it changes the password. But when I boot they are protected again.

This is what Dr Kunde said at Marion Animal Hospital.

can you start up in safe mode?

Cant log in even if in Safemode.

Now that I am Home going to call MS of the case Dr. Kunde started. See what they say. I am lost.... not sure what to do short reloading the PC. Oh joy.

Talking to Microsoft one tech asked if it was a Local account or Microsoft account. The machine was Win 7 Pro so it did the upgrade to 10 on the local accounts. They said if a MS account easy to change the password.

When it first boots it say

Administrator

Your account is locked, contact your Administrator.

Then you get the two account the company for the XRay machine setup. Admin and SupAdmin. SupAdmin the password was human and Admin the password was intravet

Both accounts say wrong password. I boot to my disk to rest passwords. It show it changes the password with success but when you boot to 10 they go back to protected.

The system has two drives in a hardware mirror raid. Yep only one volume to boot.

I can do a clean install and fix most of these problems.... question is who is going to pay me for my time? I cant charge someone 12 hours at any rate. I just can't do it.

I hated working for big companies for this very reason. It cost money in time but my job was to fix and take time. Contracts. Small companies my customers who I choose can't afford it. Nor can I.

I pulled one of the drives in the Mirror and put in a new drive to replace it so I have a complete backup. All the Xrays are in the cloud backup via the xray company but dont want to have to download gigs of images.

Thanks for the offer Goof.. appreciate it. Yea.. I have done free work to get more work. It is going to take me all day to get this going.

I got the OS installed. Have to get the data off.  Have to get he XRay software installed. Need to contact company for that. And I have to setup their vet database software.. printers.

All day again working on one PC. lol

I had to use the a Hirens Boot CD with a XP. I booted into Linux on about disk and it would not mount the volume for some reason... so I used Hirens. Good stuff and free.
