So Petey often mentions Huntsman spiders when we chat in game.  This is a video of a Huntsman from where I am in Australia.

Seriously, almost every house has them (we don't at the moment) but whenever we do I call him Harry.  They are really good at keeping down insects (and juvenile geckos), they rarely bite unless provoked or are guarding young.  My brother in law was bitten by a medium sized one once, had a really bad migraine type headache and puked for a couple of hours.

Here is one from last year down south from where I live - little bit of forced perspective but fairly big still

And one living in a letterbox at the moment

It's those that live under toilet seats that'd frighten me more...

We have loads of different types here and, living in the countryside, we get to see many.

One of my tasks during the daylight hours today is to get some wood kindling from a bin outside.

There's a f***in' big spider guarding it!  It's either a giant house spider or a labyrinth spider and

has built a huge web all around the inside of the bin.  I'll wear gardening gloves in case it bites...

The article says it doesn't have a name...I would call it spot 'cause that's all that would be left of it after I stepped on it...

We have isolated populations of yellow-tailed scorpions in the UK but I have never seen one (thankfully!).
