Not familiar with that one Johnny, anyway you have different laws etc for the medicines you can sell or you did, my friend took his son to Canada maybe 20 years ago now because he loved ice hockey, when he got there my friend felt he was coming down with a virus, he went to a Chemist and bought some "Night Nurse" off the shelf or what he thought was the same Night Nurse we use in the UK, he took a dose and collapsed and ended up in hospital and was told by the Doctor that if he had taken much more it probably would have killed him as it was not the same stuff we have over here....strange stuff.

I think we should sue Canada for not providing a warning label. It should say "Warning this product may kill anyone one from the UK.

Ok the problem is obvious You can smell soap and deodorant. Take a shower. It's a clue to the base problem. You stink and it's self survival so your nose quit working. Dam I'm smart. Plus the people around you have noses that work. They would like the relief from it.

Actually it does sound like allergies. I get the same thing when mine kick in. Hope it comes back soon and stays

@@Sonovabich I spotted something interesting yesterday in a Torygraph article about the Queen's illness.

The symptoms described mirror mine and explain why I am not getting greatly better quickly.  Perhaps

this is what has infected you also?

"Clare Gerada, former head of the Royal College of General Practitioners, said a particular nasty cold strain was hitting people of all ages this winter, taking three weeks to clear.

She said: “We are seeing an awful lot of people this winter with a virus that is more severe than a normal cold, almost a type of bronchitis.

“It is causing a hacking cough and if the Queen has got it, then she is probably exhausted from coughing. It may well be affecting her sleep as well, which would leave anyone feeling exhausted, never mind a 90-year-old.

“It’s taking three to four weeks for people to completely recover, and the length of time the Queen has been ill would be in keeping with that.”

Yup that sounds like what i am suffering from Keggy, mine always last at least 2 weeks anyway, i feel i am slowly coming out of it but last night everytime i took a deep breath it was as if someone was sticking a knife into my left lung and as i was coughing a lot there were a lot of deep breaths, managed to go into town for an hour this morning though.

Damn.... SOB and the Queen are sick with the same illness.

Yow two stay away from me. No sneezing in our direction.

I have not been sick in over 2 years. I would hate to get a cold again.

That baking soda salt rinse would probably do you some good SOB. Help you sinuses start to heal.

One can get sterile saline nasal wash from the pharmacy.  If anyone were to see SOB stumbling round his home town with bubbles coming out of his nostrils, they'd probably think he had rabies...

You still alive @@Sonovabich ?  Coming up to the two weeks mark now here - still not recovered.

Getting a few hours sleep per night only due to coughing.  I see that Wales has been hit hard

and people are being told not to visit their doctors.

I'd been thinking about H5N8 (avian flu) as that has been detected there and we have a large

population of visiting wild birds as well as neighbouring ducks and chickens here.  The WHO,

however, asserts that the risk to humans from this strain is low.

Couldn't even face a beer or two, yesterday - shows how rough I have been!  I'm having

groceries delivered this morning including more beer and vindaloo curry - that ought to nuke it!

Ah, these are going to replace the old rolling stock on the main lines to the north of England.

Hitachi built the Class 395 "Javelins" that run from Kent up to St Pancras and they are great trains.

It used to take about 1 hour 45 minutes on the "rattler" to Charing X from down here.  If we want to

get to London now, we can drive up to Ashford International, get on a Javelin and step off it in North

London 39 minutes later.  It was ideal when I used to take my lad to Wembley for the England matches.

They're not as fast as the Japanese bullet trains or French TGVs but 140mph is still quite swift!

I think they are also building Trains for Europe, another myth dispelled by those that said we would lose everything when we left the EU.
