Good guess Pete !!!   I was wondering who would figure it out first.

Woke up this morning, my cat had died.  I know I'll miss her..  Sat down and cried.

Great bluesy tune.  Very underrated band.

Strangely enough Mike, it’s a remake. it’s originally an Everly Brothers Song from 1960. Who thought a Scottish band could turn it into a blues power ballad.

The 60's and 70's saw many artists covering songs.  And many times the cover is better than the original.  Lord know the early Stones albums and Zep albums had many covers on them.

Hey Mike, since your a musician like myself, maybe you will like this.

John Lennon use to write out all his lyrics before he went into the studio. He would bring them in and McCartney and Harrison to a degree would go over them and change a line or two. When Lennon died, Yolo commissioned a lithograph edition of John’s lyrics, only 1000 were ever made which she signed. My wife bought one for me when my girls were very young.

it’s Day Tripper.

I dont think its an Everly Brothers tune though.  Song credits are some of the members of Nazareth.  You might be thinking of another tune ?

Thats way cool.  There is an auction company that deals with collectables and cool items.  www.ha.com  Heritage Auction.  I buy alot of guitars through them.  But they from time to time do Beatles and other music memorabilia auctions.  I use to get guitars dirt cheap there in the beginning.  But more collectors heard about the company, and now prices are getting driven up, close to retail.  Sucks.  But go there and dig around.  Pretty cool auction site.

Here is my sealed mono "Revolver" album.  Mono versions are worth more than stereo versions.  Wen stereo came out people threw away the mono versions.

That is awesome Mike, keep that sealed for your kids! I found an original Hey Jude single with the original sleeve a few years ago.

Man thats a toss up !!  If I had to choose one......  Damn   ....   I cant.   Zep appeals to the Metal in me as well as their acoustic stuff.   But The Beatles have a larger catalog of music and a broader range of style.  But.... Zep is heavier and I like my "guitar" based rock.   Guess I have to not choose either and go with UFO

I wasnt much of a Beatles fan growing up.  But I am now.  Never was a Clapton fan either, but have started listening to his back catalog of music.   My taste in music goes from Herb Alpert to The Sex Pistols.  I remember when "Never Mind The Bullocks" came out here in the US.  Well it wasnt "officially" released 🙂  Was actually banned here in the US.  I stopped at our local gas station, as a teenager, and there was a boot leg 8-track there.  The gas station carried boot leg 8 tracks.  Quality was shit, but man that album changed music history !!  ACDC High Voltage was another game changer, that was hard to find here in the US.  Man I miss those days.

Clapton is a good blues guitarist, hated the Sex Pistols, Herb Alpert and the Lonely Bull was played in school by my music teacher, it was the first track I ever loved. ACDC I like but can leave, no one but no one surpasses Zep for me, but thats individual taste for you and the times you grew up in. I miss those days too lol, the end of rationing in the 50's, returning from school for lunch as my parents couldn't afford school meals for your one egg and chips, fried in lard. Supper cold pork fat from the sunday roast on bread, tripe for dinner (green cows stomach), tongue sandwiches as they were the cheapest meat. No Levis or wranglers for me, couldn't afford them, lived in a 2 bedroom council house and slept with my sister until I was seven. No car, for my dad and no money, but I fought and roamed the countryside with similar rough boys. Yes I miss those days too, now I am comfortably off, worldly wise but not nearly as happy as those days, or was it all a dream? The album I think changed music history was Black Sabbath Paranoid, it rocked the status quo to the core. Fuck the Seekers we want metal.
